Bottle. Pours golden yellow with thin white head. Nose of lemony acidity, dusty basement and soft tangy roasted coffee. Flavors of lemon acidic notes, basement and underlying coffee. Interesting but not great

Why? Odd. Golden coloured and hazy. Has a white head, medium duration. Acidic aroma, sweet, odd fruity too, bad yeasty...or is it the coffee? Heavy acidic flavor, astringt too. Rubarb and old socks.

JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 19, 2013
Hazy golden small white head. Odd, dusty pulterkammer-aroma with smooth coffee and chocolate, basement, light vinegar, hay. Astringent hayish , tart flavor with faint coffee aromas and grapey notes. Earth. Wood. Long lingering, rather bitter finish with berrylike notes. Strange mix, but quite some drinkabillity albeit the coffee.

Very hazy gold beer, decent pale cream coloured head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Woody mellow sourness, touch of bitterness. Mellow coffee comes through at the end as a subtle aftertaste. Equally subtle white wine vinegar underneath.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Ugly unpleasent aroma. Dry old wool flavor. Average light bitter cloying finish. oily palate. Some gueuze notes but hidden in total rubbish. Drain pour.

Rating today for two reasons: on vacation in Europe and I canít remember any more beer, the other because the rating of this beer is shameful I think. Gueze-like backbone to this beer... If youíve ever had the spontanale you kind of have an idea where this beer started. But the addition of coffee makes this not only an exercise Iíve waited to see, but itís something really ingenious too. Coffee can take the place of aged hops, at least theoretically, the dingy bitterness it offers can play a similar game. It does offer a much more complicated herbal essence to the beer than hops would have. With the tartness of the gueze at play on your taste buds the rest of your tongues senses are left to revel in a myriad of nutty, earthy, dank flavors present in the coffee. I love this stuff... Great work!

Aroma is malts, a hint of coffee and tart fruit. The flavor is tart fruit, malts and a hint of the coffee in the finish. The lambic part of this was good but the coffee aspect didnít do any thing for it apart from there not being much of it in the flavor.

Balazs (787) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAR 15, 2013
Poured with a golden color and a small white head. Sour notes in the nose, with hints of vanilla, raw dough, brett, caramel, and (maybe) some citrus peel. I cannot pick up much coffee, sorry. Maybe hints of green coffee, but not roasted. Sour, tarty taste. A strange one.

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Very interesting beer. The coffee cuts the sourness nicely. I'd like to try this one again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bara rena dumheter. Det här hade kunnat bli en riktigt bra lambik om man gett fan i kaffet. Det bara stör. Tillför nada.
