Pours amber red with a nice candyfloss pink head. Aroma has baking yeast, wild spontaneous yeast, tart cherries, sweet cherry sauce, strawberry sweets, hints of marzipan. Taste is nice and tart, loads of spontaneous yeasts, cherries, pepper, red wine. Too much lime bitterness, though not hops bitterness, just lime. 2-27-11

Anker (723) - Hillerød, DENMARK - FEB 22, 2011
Bottle shared with plovmand. Pours a hazy ruby red colour with a long lasting pink head. Aroma is mild, dry grape, unripe cherries and has some sweet notes. The flavour is familiar with spontanale, very dry and tart with grape, sour cherries and acidic notes, its a bit sharp and like the inner part of a unripe peach or a cherry stone. Lagging some oak and earthy notes.

Plovmand (6178) - Helsinge, DENMARK - FEB 22, 2011
Bottle shared with Anker. Hazy dark red pour with a creamy medium pink head. The aroma is tart and dusty. Acid, barnyard and light cherries. The flavour is very acidic, sour, grapefruitish and citric with lighter notes of cherries and almonds. Very tart and acidic. Extremely dry finish.

Slightly hazy ruby red with a big pink head. Fruit and berry aroma with a bit of grass, funk and alcohol. Little cherry and no almond in my nose. Sweetish and tart fruit and berry flavour with noticable grassy hop bitterness.

Scopey (5553) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2011
Bottle at CP&K, thanks to madmitch76. It pours glazier-cherry red with a small pink head. The nose is initially of farmyard and yeasty, then of cherry and a little lime. The taste is dominantly of sour cherry, cherry tunes, zesty, granny smith apples, grape and sour champagne-like notes with a long tart finish. Very nice, but as the consensus goes it’s not quite as good at the framboos.

Bottle shared with Mes&Sim, Leighton and Scopey at the CP&K. Cheers! Hazy red beer - small pink head! Light and very dry palate. Slightly less acidic than the Framboos but still very tart. The cherry is somewhat masked by the sourness but what there is tastes morello. Minerally dry finish. Not bad for a sour!

A Mes rate. Bottle at the Cask thanks to Ken.
Bright blood red with a playful baby pink head. Not as good as the framboise but still bloody tasty. Superb fresh cherry stuff, a little artificial maybe but really fresh and juicy. Puckery, now there’s a word I haven’t used in a while. Superb Jolly Ranchers hit in the finish but not quite as sweet. Damn. The more I drink the more I like. There’s just so much fruit here. The base beer just about makes itself known but it’s just a hint, although it’s there right the way through. Excellent stuff. But the framboise is better.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2011 Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Deep tomato red with a medium, frothy, pink head. Fair duration. Aroma is mild, good cherries, light marzipan, light sugary. Medium carbonation, light dry and fine mouthfeel. Flavour has good tartness, fair dryness, fresh cherries. Fairly prominent oaky tartness that actually feels more there than the kriek. Still, a very nice sour ale.

11-FEB-2011, Bottle @home with Ulkløbben, from "Ølbutikken". Lovely red color with pink head. Sour and fruity (cherries!). Real cherry taste, nothing artificial here. A lovely kriek. Not a very sour one, but a creamy and very fresh one.
