Bottle - big barnyard aroma. Pours ruby with a thin white head. Very vinegary, not getting a ton of the cherry, though. Solid.

Bottled from Sam’s Quik Shop. Pours cognac brown with a thin head. Doesn’t leave any lacing. Sour on the nose. A bit of vinegar of the tongue with hints of wood and a touch of cherry. Finishes fairly clean. Not for the faint of heart.

375ml bottle, hazy reddish hue, with a bubbly pinkyish head, with a mild tart cherry, marzipan, funky, wild yeast, musty wildberry fruity nose, with a cheesy, oak, woody, barnyard, faint vanilla note, and with some light lemon juice, lemon zest, acidic wheat malt, wine tannin accents in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a harsh musty, acidic dark fruity cherry, leathery, bitter almond, bitter cherry pits, marzipan, tart earthy wildberry character, with a wood, faint wet wine oak barrel tannin, lemon juice, lemon acidic rind flavour, leading towards a wild funky yeast, earthy, musty, tart cherry, woody, lingering redberry sourness finish.

Pours a hazy reddish pink with a thick moussy pinkish head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of cherry, raspberry juice, barnyard, old funky cheese and light wood. Taste is sour cherries, mild funk, light woodiness, cherry pits and finishes dry. Nice and complex with the fruit being dominant and a nice tart and puckering feeling in the mouth. Excellent well balanced kreik.

2x 330ml bottle, BB2020 and BB2022 comparison. Both have nice red ruby color. Although no proper head is formed the young one draws a fizzy mickey mouse shape thingy. Or is it heart? Alcohol is well hidden in both ones. BB2022- Cherry, juicy, bit of horse and sweetness in aroma. Cherry stones, raw sour taste. BB2020- Rotten leaves, vinegar in aroma. Acidic, gooseberry, touch of cranberry in taste. Watery palate. Where are the cherrys? Numbers are according to one I like so thats BB2022. BB2020 would be 0,2-0,4 lower score.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2014 Glass 1: BB2022 (7:4:5:3:12=3.2)
Opened hinting at creating a worm. Clean sweet cherry aroma. Slightly watery palate. Odd bitterness, like cherry stones. Bit boring, cherries not so good. A little messed up, and not so good.
Glass 2: BB2020 (6:4:6:4:13=3.4)
White peppery aroma. Gooseberry fruitiness. Nice sourness, touch of apricot, some odd waxy retronasals. Then a grapefruity citrus finish, later apricot again. A bit messed up but not so bad.
Conclusion: Cherries young are the best in the aroma, but the taste isn’t so great, and it matters not when it fades with age. I guess I prefer the sourness and the apricot of the older one. Would chose older rather than younger any day. Most disappointing of the Spontan* series.

Flaska från Ölbutikken. Lätt rödfärgad vätska med lågt skum. Doft av körsbär och jäst. Syrlig smak med metal i avslutningen, lite tråkigt. Lite mer bett i syran hade varit önskvärt.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99 in Oct. 2012. Pours a slightly hazy bright reddish amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have a nice cherry fruitiness, tart to sour fruit, mild + funk, woody notes, dry at the finish. pretty solid stuff.
