Slightly red tint to an otherwise amberish pour. Small white head that leaves no lacing behind. Big vegetal and acetic aroma. Same with the taste. Very tart, and funky. Vinegar taste. A bit dry, and very tart. Nice, but I really don’t get any currants.

Bottle from Brewdog Bar Aberdeen. It pours pink-amber, with a quickly dissipating fizzy white head and high carbonation. The nose is redcurrant, red apple, strawberry, sweet pear, burnt wood and leather. The taste is full of redcurrant, lemon, sour green apple, red wine, sweet strawberry, unripe cranberry, a touch of vinegar, wood and brilliant lip-smacking sourness, with a very long tart redcurrant finish. I’m a big fan of the humble redcurrant, so this one ticks all the boxes for me. Awesome.

[bottle at BrewDog Bar, Edinburgh] Pours a thin, slightly opaque dull red. Walloping harsh, acetic sourness on the nose – extremely tart. As you’d expect, this follows through to the taste – massive puckering tartness with a faint fruity currant finish. Having eating unripe redcurrants, this is extremely close to how that felt. Neither experiences were ones I’d want to repeat [13072011]

Shared this bottle with Craig at the Brewdog Bar, Edinburgh. A golden beer with a red tinge and a lacy white head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar and lemon sherbet. Tastes incredibly sharp (hence the "holy shit!"). Lemony, cheek puckering tartness. Also quite dry with flavours of redcurrant, lemon and balsamic vinegar again. Reminiscent of Kettle sea salt and balsamic vinegar crisps. Quite challenging. My favourite of the series so far!
