375 ml bottle. BBE 09.05.2021.
Pours hazy amber colour with small head. Aroma of mild sour rosehip, light grapefruit, yeast and light cherries. Flavour of rosehip, grape, lemon, yeast and some distant vanilla. Not as sour as the other spontan brews but decent nonetheless.

37,5 cl bottle @ home, BBE 09.05.2021
Aroma is somewhat stale with redcurrants and some cranberries and hints of vanilla. Flavour is sour tart, and somewhat stale with redcurrants and some rowanberries. Some hops can be observed too, they make the taste a bit messy and vegetable-like.

lusikka (6184) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 4, 2011
375 ml bottle. BBE 09.05.2021.
Pours a clear red colour with a white head on the edges. Aroma of redcurrant, some toffee and wood. Flavour of redcurrant, grapefruit, toffee, wood and quite strong floral hops. Medium bodied, quite rough mouthfeel and a dry, sour, fruity finish with wood. Too much hops for this genre. A bit of a disappointed in this Spontan series.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours nice amber with a smelln white head. Aroma is fairly sweet with redcurrants and berries, some vinegar and balsamico notes, musty oak, barnyard, hints of vanilla and oak, very sweet nose. Taste is also dominated by the redcurrants, not as tart as the other Mikkeller lambics, also some redcurrant jam notes, still the barnyard and also quite some lactic tartness.

Clear golden colour with a small white head. Smells sour, cellar and apples. Tastes mostly sour. This beer has too much carbo for me.

Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Orange colour. Heavy sour aroma. Some week redberries (ribs) present. Exstremely sour flavor. Berries sourness actually present or I could mistake it for the lambic sourness. Long heavy sour finish. Creamy palate. Not for lambic starters for sure, but I like it.

From the bottle. Poured pink, some head. Smells of berries and sourness. The sourness is pretty extreme on the palate but I found it enjoyable.

Bottle at BrewDog Edinburgh. Gorgeous red/pink colour, white head fades to nothing. Big sour vinous nose - redcurrant, slight raspberry perhaps. Dry palate, slight hint of red fruit, pink grapefruit. Big sour hit but slightly short finish. Not bad at all, but as with all the Spontans, it’s hard not to compare with Cantillon, and there is a clear winner...

Countbeer (4375) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2011
Bottle @ BBF’11: Light white head, that disappears quick, on top of a clear yellow colored beer. Taste light sour, yeast, some fruit, lemon, light sweet but more sour. Well balanced. Medium carbo, full body, watery mouthfeel and texture. Luckily way better than the Spontankriek!
