3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 19, 2011 Sampled @ SBWF on September 29. Pours pinkish with a fluffy white head. Smell is sour and fresh. Lots of fresh fruits and a slight smell of chlorine. Taste is sour and has a nice tart character. It’s quite dry. The red currants are clearly present but they don’t start dominating the taste until some time has passed which results in a very nice aftertaste.

Bottled. A red beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of vinegar, brettanomyces, red currant, and wood. The flavor is acidic with notes of brettanomyces, wood, vinegar, red currant, and a bit of malt, leading to a very tart and mouthpuckering finish.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Good, collapsing pinkish head over pale terracotta coloured beer. Very sour, lactic acid nose, Brett, fruit, barnyardodours. Very lambiclike, in fact. Sharp fruit(acid), lactic flavours, whilst barnyard/Brett figure in the background. Touch of horseradish. Red fruit, but not immediately identifyable as redcurrant. Sharp MF, acidburn, light-appearing body. Aftertaste has indeed some (creamy) berries. Very good fruitlambic - from Hijfte and København...
