Cloudy amber color with white foam. Sour lambic taste with certain (white?) courrant notes. Refreshing taste,
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 hopscotch (8250) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 8, 2012
Bottle… This beer rocks!… Hazy amber ale with a small, wispy, white head. Excellent retention. The bouquet offers funky cheese, earthy currants and fruity black cherries. Full-bodied and creamy with airy carbonation. The flavor is sour and funky; super acidic and fruity. Finishes tart and fairly dry. Absolutely delicious! This world class beer was provided by Plovmand!

Bottle. Hazy deep amber with pinkish head. Aroma is slightly sour, fresh red berries and some wheat. Taste is pretty sour but with some sweetness to back it. Notes include barnyard, red currant, wood and cranberries. Really nice
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 gyllenbock (3022) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 3, 2011
Hazy reddish/orange with a small head.
Nice and tart aroma of berries, oak and some "earth". Incredible refreshing and good taste of sour berries, wood and "earth". Very nice mouth feel. I think that this one was even tastier than Cantillon Blåbær that we tried earlier the same evening.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Scopey (3380) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 24, 2011
Bottle from Brewdog Bar Aberdeen. It pours pink-amber, with a quickly dissipating fizzy white head and high carbonation. The nose is redcurrant, red apple, strawberry, sweet pear, burnt wood and leather. The taste is full of redcurrant, lemon, sour green apple, red wine, sweet strawberry, unripe cranberry, a touch of vinegar, wood and brilliant lip-smacking sourness, with a very long tart redcurrant finish. I’m a big fan of the humble redcurrant, so this one ticks all the boxes for me. Awesome.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 14, 2011
Shared this bottle with Craig at the Brewdog Bar, Edinburgh. A golden beer with a red tinge and a lacy white head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar and lemon sherbet. Tastes incredibly sharp (hence the "holy shit!"). Lemony, cheek puckering tartness. Also quite dry with flavours of redcurrant, lemon and balsamic vinegar again. Reminiscent of Kettle sea salt and balsamic vinegar crisps. Quite challenging. My favourite of the series so far!

Bottle @ Dan’s house, courtesy of camons. Thanks René! A touch pinkish orange appearance with an off white head. Amazing, dark berry, currant, oak, mild to moderate funky sour aroma. Very tart, funky, dark raspberry, currant, light cranberry, puckering funky flavor. Excellent!

Good, collapsing pinkish head over pale terracotta coloured beer. Very sour, lactic acid nose, Brett, fruit, barnyardodours. Very lambiclike, in fact. Sharp fruit(acid), lactic flavours, whilst barnyard/Brett figure in the background. Touch of horseradish. Red fruit, but not immediately identifyable as redcurrant. Sharp MF, acidburn, light-appearing body. Aftertaste has indeed some (creamy) berries. Very good fruitlambic - from Hijfte and København...

Bottle shared with friends. Give thanks to Heyta for sending me this gem! I’ve come to love these Spontanale beers from Mikkeller. Most have that perfect balance of sour/sweet and tartness, and this one was no different. A real treat to sip.

37.5cl bottle at CPK, London. It pours a nice reddish colour with a pinkish head. Aroma is sour berries, lemon, peachy, pink grapefruit, tartness and brett. Taste is lemon, redcurrants really shines through, pink grapefruit, tartness, brett champagne/whitewine, light wood and maybe a hint of cherries. Overall, one of the most dry Mikkeller Spontan series, but fruit really shines in this.
