Bottle I took to the Dad Pad. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Big funky notes, coppery, cheesy. Medium bodied, tart and bright. Big acid, tangy and acetic. Long and tart, metallic, tangy, tastes like zinc. Tangy, chewy tannins. Long acid. Lingering acid into the finish. Quite interesting.

(330ml bottle @ Mikkeller Bar Stockholm, Nov 16 2014) Pours a slightly murky deep gold with a decent bubbly white head, spotty lace. Aroma quite funky with a little sour lemony acidity, berry notes giving a little sweetness underneath that funk, just a little wood too, brisk. Flavour mixes some light sweetness from malts and sea buckthorn with the buckthorn’s tart qualities, lemony sourness, a reasonable helping of Brett horseblanket funk, blending into a dry/sour finish with lots of buckthorn berry, lingering funk as well. Medium body with average, fairly active carb. Cool use of sea buckthorn for sure, its kind of "odd" berry character proved a star of a nicely sour/tart/funky lambic and seems to make it more drinkable than I’d have expected. Interesting, nice too.

375 ml bottle to wine glass at Mikkeller Bar in SF. Looks good; a semi-transparent fuller orange with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; funky with a uniquely pleasant semi-sweet fruity presence. Tastes like it smells, only more sour, with a nice tart medium-bodied mouthfeel. Notes of citrus. One of the better Spontan varietals I’ve had to date.

Warm golden colour, white head. Aroma of cherry, berries, peach. Bitter flavour, buckthorn, berries and yoghurt. Quite astringent. Finish wood and seabuckthorn juice. Was quite curious to it, but to me seabuckthorns taste more healthy than nicely flavoured. Still, not bad..
(From 37.5cL bottle shared @ Procrastinated Spontan Gent Tasting. Thanks for the bottles, tderoeck!!)

10/24/2014. From bottle. Murky orange-brown with a white head. Funky, yeasty aromas with hints of lemon and light fruit. Very tart right off with lemony flavors dominating.

Bottle. An unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a dense, light beige head. The funky aroma has a strange almost puke-like berry touch, with some lemon notes. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, with a nice carbonation level, quite tart. Lemony, citrusy flavor with a little sweet touch in the back. Not sure about this one, it’s sort of good, yet not. 141018
