Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish, sour socks, citrus peel, sorrel, something sweet citrusy, lemon, hay, oak. Taste is acidic and slightly dry, lemon, citrus peel, sorrel, oak, grapefruit, oak. Slightly metallic mouthfeel. Nice, finally a beer in the Spontan series that’s actually sour, and not only sour-wannabe.

hazy orange-hay, lasting thin white head. Funky earth and saddle nose, sweat and light grass, very singular yet soft. Punchy sourness up front, soft grass and yeast mid with burning acid still present, caustic apricot, jowl locking through hot finish, tons of sourness in the slick body, lower carbonation maintains muted impression, bit of old cardboard long in the finish. Sourness intense but without messy combos or misplaced effort.

pours hazy golden orange with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. fairly present acetic notes upfront, but also persistent citric, strawberry and berry-like esters, moderate to low funk, hint of caramel, minerals - strong iron blood-like presence. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, sharp and tingling finish. the least appreciated yet from this series - in which there are some world class lambics. but this one.. meh.

Bottle at Frantos Beer, Duck & Cake event. Pours Golden with a White head. Sour Lambicy aroma with a strange component. I’m not sure what Sea Buckthorn is but it made for an interesting Spontan. Nice familiar funky Geuze flavours. Delicious.

Insanely cloudy burnt orange. Orange white head. Lots of cherries on the nose and sea salt Like a cherry meringue. Taste is explosive with sour cheer wine and some balsamic. Like sucking on a sour candy. Sweet tart. Minor heartburn inducing. Very succulent. Decent mouth swish I get more raspberry. Like desert

I’ve had a few glasses of this and the inconsistencies make me mark it down. Some kegs have been quite wonderful; acidity and funk balanced by juicy orange fruit, but others have had overwhelming amounts of acid. If you get a good pour, it’s a solid beer, but it can be somewhat undrinkable.

Bottle (375ml) from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Murky orange colour. Half-inch white fluffy head, quite good retention, settles as as a thick bubbly layer with some lacing. Tart aroma with passion fruit, sour cherries, crushed grape kernels, yeast, vinegar. Medium body, average carbonation, cleansing mouthfeel. Taste is predominantly sour/tart, to some degree balanced by a juicy sweetness (orange, passion fruit, peach). Citrusy, tongue- and teeth-drying aftertaste. High degree of ’fruit fidelity’ and all-in-all strangely pleasant.
