Dry finish, lots of hops, smooth and very drinkable. No overdoing the hops, no astringent alcohol in the flavor, no crazy texture, just a medium bodied brew thats full of hops and flavor. Nice yeast profile as well, it does a lot to back up the citrus hops. Notes of pine as well. Texture is slightly oily, but if that is my biggest complaint (and it is), then you know this is a hell of a brew. One of the best IPAs out there. TeamTrappist (382), jericho, New York, USA

Flavor was not quite as hoppy tasting as the nose would lead you to believe. Mildish flavor, somewhat true to the style with big bittering hop finish. Not my favorite style of beer, but my favorite version of the style so far. MatSciGuy (630), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2008 [Bottle] Pours hazy gold with a medium soapy off white head. Aroma is a nice citric nose with some malt. Quite sweet and more rounded IPA with a moderate bitterness. This is probably much better when it’s fresh. kwoeltje (1315), Manchester, Missouri, USA

Flavors are piny and yeasty. Not the California IPA I’ve grown found of. Still a tasty beer worth trying. bretupdegraff (172), Fishers, Indiana, USA

Nice choice for my 100th Beer rating. There are better brews- but I selfishly could not save them for #100! adm (5), Alfold Crossways, Surrey, England does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 5, 2008 I like this beer a lot.
The first thing that hits you as you pour it is the slightly hazy amber colour and the rich old ivory head that stays for a while before falling back leaving a medium lace. Then you take a sniff and a big burst of american hops hits you smack in the face - chinook, cascade and amarillo. A gorgeous resiny, citrussy burst.
Flavour is intense, orange and burnt caramel with a nice sweet malty background balancing the hoppy tang.
Slightly oily mouthfeel, very fine creamy carbonation.
I could drink a lot of this....
