Commercial Description:
Earlier batches brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

From the bottle, pours a copper color with a thin white head. Nice citrus aroma, but not overpowering. Flavor is heavy citrus and a little bit of pine bitterness. Some sweet caramel tries to balance, but the hops win out, the way I like it. Oily mouthfeel and not much carbonation. Solid IPA overall though, looking forward to trying more of their stuff.

fairly new in town... looking forward to trying all there Brews...as far as this one goes, Bottle, Pours a heavy amber color with not much head. Citrusy aroma with some decent hops. A very thick IPA with a hint of alcohol with the hops and citrus in the taste. A little too thick for my liking, but still the taste makes up for it. Now on to there stouts!

From a 22 courtesy of Maniac. Clear copper with a medium head that collapses rapidly. Nice citrusy hop aroma. Citrusy american hop flavor balanced by some caramel malt sweetness. Medium well carbonated mouthfeel. Hop bitterness lasts well into the finish.

16.9 oz bottle from Port Carlsbad bottle shop: Slightly cloudy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head. Aroma of over ripe tropical fruit. Flavor starts Rich and fruity with orange and apricot followed by a lightly grassy bitterness and a long dry orange rind finish. Medium body is zesty with moderate carbonation.

16.9 oz bottle pours a mostly clear apricot amber with a large offwhite head. Nice lacing in the glass. Aroma is grapefruit and pine hops with soft caramel tones. Palate has a medium body and creamy carbonation. Some hop oiliness. Taste is grapefruit rind and pine hop bitterness that is pleasantly balanced by the caramel malt. Earthy notes add character. Very well done.

Copper, giant head. Absolutely lovely aroma of piney and sweet hops. Flavors are big on grassy grains, straw, white pepper, grapefruit hops, piney oils, and a lingering cloying residue of bitter hops.

Light caramel to copper in color with a frothy head of medium-sized bubbles. Aromas of fresh, ripe citrus fruits with some floral notes at the end. In the mouth this was medium-bodied and well-balanced with the flavors from the nose continuing. The palate was smooth and finished with a dry bitterness. This is everything that I would expect from a very well made IPA. That said, there was nothing thag grabbed me and forced me to pay attention. So, while I could drink this often, given the price it’s not going to happen.

Bottle: Aroma is sweet citrus hops. Nice orange color with a red tint. Decent head. Good bitterness along with a well balanced malt sweetness. Texture is medium/light. Simple but good!
