Commercial Description:
Earlier batches brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

Bottle. Pour is clear amber with a thick white head. Nice aroma, citrus, pine and sweet malt. Nice and bitter, taste is more of the same from the aroma. Good bitter finish and it lingers for a little while. Medium body. I like this.

Amber with a huge head. Citric aroma with notes of pine, grass and oranges. The flavour is bitter: lime, grape and citrus, but contrasted with caramel. Hoppy fireworks toward the ending. Close to perfection.

rich coppery color with a fluffy whitish head. it’s got nice retention and some spotty lacing. citrusy/grapefruit aroma with candy and caramel malty sweetness. very low sweetness on the palate with notes of citrus, wood and pine. really nice and bitter with a hint of ash or smoke. it finishes dry and crisp while the bitterness lingers in my mouth. medium to full bodied with a rich texture for the style. the hops really shine but it needs something to put it over the edge...

This was a fun one to drink. Sometimes I am in the mood for a sort of tooty-fruity IPA and this is the archetype. Lots of candy flavors, like peach and bubble gum and lemon and grapefruit.

500ml Bottle at Kaisla, Helsinki- Amber in colour with a slight haze and a small but foamy head. Hoppy, citrus aroma with grapefruit and peach being noticeable. Hoppy and bitter taste with a grapefruit juice hint and a pleasant bitter bitter aftertaste with a bit of maltiness. Not bad at all.

Bottle - A fascinating example of a danish brewer making an american IPA. The bubble gum flavors were really drawn out in this beer making it much closer in style to Two Hearted or Stone than Hop Devil.

Bottle, 740ml / 1 pint, 9 oz Body: Decent head, medium bubbles; translucent and amber body Aroma: more of a malty aroma than hops. I was expecting more from an IPA. Flavor: again, similar to the aroma. More malty than hoppy. There’s a light citrus taste and aftertaste Palate: very decent. Not thin or light. Overall, I was somewhat let down. The aroma was not to me strong with hops. I could smell them, but I smelt the malts just as much or more. For an IPA, I’m expecting a bit more on the hops. This for me was also similar to the flavor. It definitely had hops in the mix, but not overly strong with the hops. An IPA to me hits me across the face with hops, not powdering my cheeks gently. A good brew, though, nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours amber with large frothy off-white head. Aroma has a moderate malt sweetness along with strong hay, pine and citrus. Initial flavor is moderately hoppy with some caramel sweetness. The bitterness grows stronger during the long finish. This is just what I want in an IPA. Excellent.
