Feb 18, 2008 22oz bottle. The last one at greens liquor in Atlanta. Very clear copper colored brew. Nice. Almost no aroma to this one. Just a touch of grain, biscuit, and earthy hops. Nothing prominent, but nothing off either. Fairly earthy and spicy flavor. Clean and straight forward with grass clippings and an English bent. Dry medium body. While I was not very thrilled with this one (a touch disappointed perhaps), it did not hurt my feelings.

Feb 18, 2008 500 ml bottle purchased at Davidsons outside of Denver, CO. Pour is yellow orange, clear, with a billowing off white head which featured some pretty layering. Aroma of some real fresh pine hops, smell almost wet and quite resinous. Taste is the earthy, pine, resin hops and is sharply bitter. Not too much malt in this one, big focus on the hops. Well done hop bomb, though I personally would have liked a bit more balance. Despite this, nice drinkable body.

Feb 15, 2008 500 ml. Clear burnt orange-copper with a five-finger, lasting and sticky head. Big, earthy, citrus-honeycomb aroma. Huge flavors of the same with lots of resiny bittering to tame it. The almost-medium body is smooth, slightly oily, and near perfect.

Feb 13, 2008 Pours a copper/amber hue with a nose that brings citric tones. Flavor is a smooth mix of bitter, slight salt, and piney tones. The profile stays fairly consistent. Feel is very smooth and it is very drinkable.
Another good production from Mikkeller, IMO. Not exactly sure what’s up with the water over there, but I always keep my eye open for productions from these guys I haven’t tried.

Feb 10, 2008 Pretty nice straightforward IPA. Hop forward aroma, with a bit of green leafiness and some grapefruit but its not a very aggressive hop presence. Malts are definitely there, with a full multi-grain breadiness. Flavor very much the same, medium palate with good malt-hop balance, fresh citric hops, a touch of a tangerine hoppiness, balanced finish. Very clean fermentation profile. Deep orange huge with creamy head and lacing.

Feb 9, 2008 Bottle. Aroma has notes of caramel, citrus, and pine. Average sized off white head that leaves good lace and mostly diminishes. Copper amber hue. Flavor is caramel malt and mild bitter hops. Palate is medium bodied and soft. Not bad but kind of average. Wouldn’t turn one down but would go out of my way to buy one.
