Commercial Description:
Earlier batches brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

Pours with a striking copper body and a tall resilient ivory head. The aroma is thick with alpha hops, citrus zest and pine sap, but seems evenhanded with the caramel malts. The flavor adds a juicy hoppyness, a balanced and enjoyable IPA. It’s not one of thoes West Coast triple hopped-bombs that are becoming so common. This beer is rounded and drinkable on a seasonable level… except for the 7% abv. * Well done!

It’s a good IPA. And while I don’t like it, I hope I am appreciating it properly. Pungent hops, but not overbearing - a bit heavy on the pine, but nice balance with just a quick flash of fruity sweetness.

The color was medium orange/golden. The head was creamy, off-white, and laced some. The aroma was ripe fruit, citris, and cascade hops (among others). The flavor was sweet hops, a bitterness, and citrisy hops. The palate was medium bodied and smooth. The finish was hoppy.

Pours a soft copper amber with a one finger sticky white head. The aroma is hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, caramel, fresh hops. The flavor is nice and fruity, some grapefruit peel, waxy bitter, nice bitter and flavor balance, love those amarillo hops. Palate is is waxy and and the finish leaves notes of mandarin orange and grapefruit.

Bomber poured a clear copper with a lasting light amber head. Aromas of earthiness, carmel, citrus and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit rind with a smooth lingering bitter finish.
Not a bad IPA but needs more finishing hops. Also maybe by the time it makes it here it’s already lost hoppiness.

Nice looking beer. Orange with white head. Aroma is decent, fair amount of hops with a strong malty presence. Overall, kind of weak though. Let’s check the flavor. Some fruitiness, a little sweet, I suspect that perhaps this bottle is bit old. It tastes like a beer that is supposed to be pretty hoppy, but the hops have faded. It’s a little bland, but nothing offensive. Not overly impressive, but it’s cool to see them doing this type of brewing in Europe. I’d like to taste a fresher sample, though I have a feeling it still won’t quite measure up to the best examples. Enjoyable. Nice label, too.
