Jan 7, 2008 After having Beer Geek...I thought this would be more impressive. Visually stunning, that’s about where it ends. Fluffy head sits atop a golden mandarin liquid. Aroma is inviting but not over the top. Taste is extremely sour; pine and resin. There isn’t any type of malty sweetness to counter the hop bitterness. Definitely not worth the $$$ you’ll shell out.

Jan 7, 2008 500ml - Aroma is strong caramel with citrus and pine hops Pours transparent orange-brown with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor is hoppy first with a caramel finish. Palate is tart and creamy. Very tasty, but not unique enough to justify the price over here "Stateside".

A very thin soapy white head floats on a transparent clean reddish amber color. Smell is hoppy but surprisingly very sweet as well. Strong hop flavor and bitterness. A hint drying, but has a very nice crisp finish. A bit thinner than I had hoped but very drinkable and enjoyable overall! Everything is very nice about this beer - it just would be that much better if all of the elements could be kicked up a notch.

Jan 1, 2008 Bottle. This beer is just all over the place. Very complex and enjoyable. A little light on the aroma side but still nice. Nice orange color with thick head. Starts nice and floral and then quickly moves to a nice bitter hop flavor. Ends nice, dry and sweet. I like this one.

Jan 1, 2008 Fiery orange pour, with a small rin of soapy lace - citrus and floral aroma that explodes out of the glass, with some grapefruit pulp tanginess and underlying caramel malt - nice, bracing bitterness up front, which returns in the finish, bookending the experience - in between, biscuity malts come to the fore briefly, and some earthy citrus rinds/pulp - a very mild caramel sweetness keeps the hops in check - slightly tangy and quite spicy on the back end - well done.

Dec 30, 2007 Golden color. Bitter nose, but with a subtle toasty background. The flavor is really balanced between piney hops and great malt. Very crisp and clean. The finish is long and bitter.

Dec 30, 2007 20.9 oz. bottle courtesy of agl108. Pours a rich copper/amber with a nicely sized light-tan head. The aroma features plenty of citrusy notes. Lots of the usual grapefruits, pine needles and lemons. Medium-bodied. Very nice balance taste-wise. An ample caramel malt backbone keeps everything from being too one-sided. Pretty dry finish. Solid stuff.

Dec 30, 2007 Dark golden to light amber in color. Moderate light beige head. Light caramel and mild grapefruit aromas. Thin malt and caramel flavors in the beginning. Thins out even more in the middle and finish with pine and citric hops taking control. This is seriously thin to me. Some perfume/floral hops are also in the mix. Much a light APA. Needs more malt depth for me.
