Oct 3, 2007 Bottle. Aroma was predominately grassy hops. Some pine and citrus. Wisps of malt hiding in the background. Pours rich copper with a big, sticky white head. Flavor profile was initially quite dry. Lots of grassy hops, but not bracingly hoppy. Some hay. Wildflowers. A hint of sweet malt. Medium to full bodied. Good carbonation.

Oct 2, 2007 (bottle thanks olso2116) Pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma initially smells like a fruit salad, but as the beer warms the hops dominate and are very citrusy. The flavor is a slight malt presence which is quickly washed away with a very bitter grapefruit peel hop finish that lasts quite awhile.

Oct 2, 2007 Bottle from Capone’s. Deep copper pour with off-white head. Aroma of wet hops, caramel malt, some spicy florals and a hefty black and Bell pepper aroma. The palate is hoppy, medium heft, with well balanced malt and hops, giving a lot of hop flavor, plus a lot of mid-palate peppery notes, and some finishing floral notes. Stays very hoppy throughout. Reminds me of a Sly Fox varietal quite a bit.

Oct 1, 2007 [Bottle] Pours reddish amber with a small white head. Very strong citrusy hops and some nice malt. Taste is citrus up front, then malt, and then a quite bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel. Aside from the aroma being really nice, nothing really set this beer apart. I would drink it again, but only if it was cheaper here.

Sep 30, 2007 16.9 oz bottle. Clear orange with a generous bone head. Pineapple, citrus and peppery dough. Bitter, sour apple tingles on the tongue. Orange malts and some grapefruit juice. Light drying with pith and crabapple. Well made but not so distinctive.

Sep 28, 2007 1pt .9 oz bottle. Poured a medium amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of floral hoppiness, citrus, pine, and some sweet malts. Tastes of pine, citrus, light caramel, and a little fruity. Alcohol content hidden. Not overly bitter with a lighter malt balance.

Sep 25, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber-orange with a large lasting foamy off-white head. Looking good. Aroma: Oh yeah, that’s nice: Spicy hops, sweet caramel malt and fruit. Nice flavour of UK hops backed by caramel malt, spices and fruit and with a long bitter finish. Alcohol’s totally hidden. Medium to full bodied. This is a wonderful IPA, I easily and quickly drank the whole bottle and if I’d had one cooled, I would have drank another one.
