Pine resins, plush oranges and peachy caramel achieve lip-licking balance in this gorgeous pint of healthily unfiltered coniferous American-style IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-Foam towers above the muddy fiery orange red.
-The frothy carbonation lifts the well-extracted maltiness.
-This is very drinkable, very flavorful but never aggressive.
-Bready yeast accompanies the peppery pine needles in the back.
-Caramel builds into toffee once the beer ages a bit, as hops take a step back. This is still a mighty fine IPA after a year.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 27, 2007 Thanks to thewolf for this one. Drank in a tulip. Thick brown hazy /murky poor with a nice foamy light brown head. Aromas of ginger, caramel, very hoppy, floral, pine... lots of spices... Creamy thick, long lasting bitterness, peppery with a nice dry finish. Full bodied, nicely carbonated. Flavors are preaty much the same... almost fuller. This beers character reminds me a little of an Orval. I love it! Phil (100), Kent, England

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 10, 2007 skortila poured a very cloudy wannabe-orange beige color with a big frothy off-white head. Cloudy strokes of yeast swirled down to the bottom of the glass, a Dutch sky was nothing compared to this view. Aroma of cascade hop, slightly fruity and yeasty (what a surprise). Very soft, fruity and bit yeasty taste, but not very bitter as most other IPAs I’ve had. Soft bitter palate. Nice balance. I like this one very much! skortila (2903), Bunnik, Netherlands
