Big hoppy aroma, passionfruit, toffee, grapefruit, very very nice. The body is a slight let down, its sweet, hoppy, warming and slightly spicy... I guess everything you would want from a big IPA. The problem for me was the shocking lack of balance with and what seemed to be a light oxidation. The finish is long and bitter. RollinHard (764), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2007 Poured an amber-gold. Incredibly floral hop aroma, with some light caramel and...cedar? Tastes sweet and flowery, with some burnt caramel, bitter lingering cedar, and flowers. There’s a bit of a wood aftertaste. This is one of the most unique hop characteristics I’ve ever experienced in a beer. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 26, 2006 Nice hazy amber colored beer with a deep orange to slight reddisch color. Nice longlasting off white head leaving a fine and attactive lacing. Aroma is complex, woody, hop bitter of coures and has complex touches of nutmegg, lilly’s, flowers, forrest soil, honey, maple sirup some pepper, figgs and white roses. The taste is quit full, it has a nice well integrated sweetness with a honeyed and maple sirup like smoothness. But the beer is not really sweet. In the afthertaste, the spicey accents are comming up. There are hints of nutmegg, cloves, pepper and vanilla. All this works wonderwell with the attactive bite of the hop bittering. The balance is very good and the beer has a great refreshing bitterness of fine hops in the end. mreusch (748), Olathe, Kansas, USA

Pours a hazy golden with a towering creamy yellowish tan head that slowly dissipates. Aroma is a nice blend of grapefruit, pine, citrus, and grass. Flavor is a crisp, refreshing and lingering hops bite, with more pine/citrus and a slightly sweet malty backbone. Nothing earth-shattering, but a well done, refreshing and enjoyable IPA - thanks again Tyler! coldbrewky (742), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 18, 2007 Pours a cloudy hazy pale brown. Thanks to Maria for a new twist on IPA. A sweet fruity nose with sprase yet steady carbonation. The hops dont dominate the beer as I am used to wtih some IPAs. Yet the citrusy hops tingle the sides of the mouth and tounge. Body is touch and go watery. Apples in the aftertaste. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden

Some notes of peach and orange. Freat bitter flavour with a refreshing hoppiness. Small notes of honey. A well balanced IPA indeed. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 25, 2009 Bottle. More quality work from Mikkeller. Clear amber goldn with medium white head. Lovely aroma, quite malty for an IPA.Citrus hoppage but not over powering, forest after rain type thing, nice caramel malt notes and a dry bitter finish. Really well balanced and very bloody tasty. lamas (737), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 30, 2007 20.9 oz. bottle courtesy of agl108. Pours a rich copper/amber with a nicely sized light-tan head. The aroma features plenty of citrusy notes. Lots of the usual grapefruits, pine needles and lemons. Medium-bodied. Very nice balance taste-wise. An ample caramel malt backbone keeps everything from being too one-sided. Pretty dry finish. Solid stuff.
