Commercial Description:
Earlier batches brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

Pretty nice straightforward IPA. Hop forward aroma, with a bit of green leafiness and some grapefruit but its not a very aggressive hop presence. Malts are definitely there, with a full multi-grain breadiness. Flavor very much the same, medium palate with good malt-hop balance, fresh citric hops, a touch of a tangerine hoppiness, balanced finish. Very clean fermentation profile. Deep orange huge with creamy head and lacing.

skortila poured a very cloudy wannabe-orange beige color with a big frothy off-white head. Cloudy strokes of yeast swirled down to the bottom of the glass, a Dutch sky was nothing compared to this view. Aroma of cascade hop, slightly fruity and yeasty (what a surprise). Very soft, fruity and bit yeasty taste, but not very bitter as most other IPAs I’ve had. Soft bitter palate. Nice balance. I like this one very much!

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Aroma of citrus and pine. Golden amber color with a substantial white head. Thinnish body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is citrus and pine with caramel malt. The finish is nice bitter hop. It definitely has an effect on the mouth. Very tasty.

Pours orange / light bronze with a beige soapy head. The aroma has grapefruit, pine, green onions and musty malt. Medium body that is quite resiny with a moderate amount of sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with creamy caramel malt, earthy / piny hops, sour grapefruit and lots of sticky resin. The finish has a dry hoppiness than lingers for a lot time. A very nice IPA, I just wish it was priced so I could get it more often.

Cloudy orangeish red, almost no head. Big citrusy hop aroma, maybe a touch of toasty caramel. Pretty much the same in the flavor, too - huge citru hops, then subtle notes of caramel. Smoky, earthy notes as it warms. Really good.

Hige thanks to Mullman for bringing this to my party last month. Pours a hazy deep orange with a frothy sticky lasting head. Aroma is cascadey citrus with some light metallic hints, grapefruity, and orange with a sticky sweet malt background. Tacky sticky sweet flavor with some pine, caramel, orange, and more grapefruit mouth-puckering bitterness. Nice finish- good IPA.

Poured a slightly hazy copper color with a small off-white head. Earthy hop aroma hits the nose first but not over powering. Good sweet caramel malt underneath. Earthy and citrus hop flavor mixed with sweet malt. Good balance with a moderately bitter semi-dry finish.

RBSG 2006 - Grand Tasting. Cloudy, burnt orange body with a soapy, just off-white head. Aroma of cut lemons, musty hay-like hop notes and nice underlying malt with toasty bread crust notes. Woody hops blend nicely with toast and Munich malt flavors. Bitter, but balanced. A very enjoyable IPA.
