Commercial Description:
Brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

[Bottle] Pours hazy gold with a medium soapy off white head. Aroma is a nice citric nose with some malt. Quite sweet and more rounded IPA with a moderate bitterness. This is probably much better when it’s fresh.

(large bottle) orange-amber with decent off white head. Floral hops aroma. Flavor is a nice mix of floral and citrus hops. Decent malt backbone. Solid IPA.

Getting notebook online. Bottle. Poured an amber with a good amount of carbonation. Flavors are piny and yeasty. Not the California IPA I’ve grown found of. Still a tasty beer worth trying.

1PT .9 FL OZ Bottle: Aroma is very hoppy and piny - citrusy and hoppy taste - very complex flavors - some malt and sweet flavor that is quickly absorbed by the bitter hop flavor - flavor sticks with you forever. Nice choice for my 100th Beer rating. There are better brews- but I selfishly could not save them for #100!

I like this beer a lot. The first thing that hits you as you pour it is the slightly hazy amber colour and the rich old ivory head that stays for a while before falling back leaving a medium lace. Then you take a sniff and a big burst of american hops hits you smack in the face - chinook, cascade and amarillo. A gorgeous resiny, citrussy burst. Flavour is intense, orange and burnt caramel with a nice sweet malty background balancing the hoppy tang. Slightly oily mouthfeel, very fine creamy carbonation. I could drink a lot of this....

Aroma is orange/piney hops, hazy pomegranate, small custard head. Taste is milder in the orange content than the nose implied, some good malt here too. Light bodied, nice dance of hops on the tongue. Great! Thanks Mr. Cheese Tasting.

500ml bottle. Freshly citric, floral nose, green, leafy and full of honeysuckle sweetness and orange, along with lighter notes of pine and grass. Lightly hazy medium copper color with a vigorous head and plenty of lacing to match. Flavor does indeed showcase plenty of American hop character, but features a nicely balancing toasty caramel maltiness throughout. Begins with fruity and sweet, turning hoppier from there onwards, showing a powerful citrus and pine quality along with a moderately strong amount of drying bitterness that makes for a snappy, resinous finish. Mouthfeel is slightly oily and finely effervescent, body is medium-full. Highly drinkable and flavorful rendition.

This amber ale poured with a nice off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a delicious caramel malt base with an excellent blend of balancing hops. Excellent long-lasting palate. This is a very nice brew.
