alexsdad06 (1056), Ohio, USA May 16, 2008 1 pt 9 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a medium sized creamy off white head. The aroma is piney citrus hops, modeerately sweet malt, spicy (pepper), and slight herbs. The flavor is a nice balance of caramel malt and citrus hops up front. Midway the pepper starts to come through. This leads into a more general bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied, pretty good. It had me until the finish where it lost just a little. msante79 (778), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA May 16, 2008 16.9 oz bottle. Pours hazy burnt orange with 2 finger light off white head that disapates to a thin film. Nice aroma of hops, citrus and pine. Flavor is nice dose of hops, grapefruit, pine and caramel notes. Nice IPA. Nothing I would go out of my way to buy again. presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 12, 2008 1/3 foamy cloud head. 2/3 deep amber. Tasty rich hoppy nose with malty backing. Flavour is malt, alcohol, dry hoppy citrus and wood. Airy body. tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway May 9, 2008 On tap at Ørsted Ølbar. Hazy dark amber color, white head. Aroma is nice hops and sweet fruit. Flavor is hoppy, with sweet malt and fruit. A very nice IPA. Syd (888), Waconia, Minnesota, USA May 5, 2008 Bottle pours a crystal clear orange amber with a really nice head with impressive clingy lace. The aroma is grapefruit peel, early season pine, hop resin, and some sweetness trying to surface. The flavor is melon, peach, grapefruit, caramel, fresh bread, and all very coordinated and well played. The palate is distinctive, cleansing and rich. Overall, pretty nice. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA May 4, 2008 Bottle. Aroma not my favorite, although it’s possible that glassware/detergent could have been the culprit. Tastes somewhat like Summit EPA but with more alcohol, sweetness and body. I see now apparently that it’s not that much more alcohol. Surprised to see only 7%. For some reason, I thought it was an Imperial IPA. Very good IPA, but overpriced at $9.49 for a bottle. Pinball (2692), Allerød, Denmark May 1, 2008 Bottle, valid till 060310. aroma:pine and some sweet fruit. Cloudy with a small lasting foam. Bitter taste, but you can sense a lot of fruit/sweet underneath. Nicely balanced, nothing gets in the way of something else. i didn’t even think about alc, bf. i felt it.. overall great, but some kind of combination of aroma and flavor took of a point. Probably a great beer for those who love the style to begin with. OleR (2008), Oslo, Norway Apr 30, 2008 From draught @ Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. Clear reddish/brown, thin beige head. An intense an delicious aroma of fruity hops. Yellow grapefruit, peach, tangerine and orange detetcted. Taste has a delicate malt-sweetness paired wiith a nice fruity-bitter-acidulous flavor. Fulll-bodied. Smooth. Long fruity-bitter ending. Outstanding.
