jrob21 (1252), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 9, 2007 Whoa, this is a straight up IPA? I was thinking it got into double IPA territory. Oh well, either way, it’s pretty good coming from those Danes. Where’d they steal all the american hops from? Retardedly good aroma. Green apple, pine, citrus. Flavor is subtle and could have a little more depth. At least the hops don’t overpower your pallete. Color is a clear reddish orange. Minimal white head and lacing. Smooth finish with a slight bitter bite at the end. Well rounded and well done. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Nov 5, 2007 500mL bottle, no date. Clear slightly dark orange with a 1 1/2 finger off-white head, good retention. Aroma of either rose or iris petals, light grapefruity hops, sweet caramel malts and light honey. Not exactly a ton going on here or very strong, but what’s here is definitely nice. Flavor adds a pine car freshener element that’s sweet--I realize that doesn’t sound good, but it is. Otherwise, the flower petals and grapefruit, honey and caramel are all there. Bitterness peaks at a 5. Moderate creamy carbonation, light to medium body. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Nov 5, 2007 500ml bottle from tytoanderso; nose of flowery hops with a little pine and some caramel maltiness; clear copper with a small. quick disapting straw head; flavor is light hop bitterness with some lemon and caramel. ekstedt (2411), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 5, 2007 Updated: Jul 7, 2008Bottle (50 cl) from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, Denmark. Wonderful reddish amber with a huge off-white head with a yellow hue. Fruity aroma with peaches, mango, and apricot, along with floral and piney notes of hops. Medium bodied with smooth mouthfeel. Long bitter finish. A great IPA. alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Nov 4, 2007 Bottle from Sam’s Blue Light in Durham; poured a nice orange copper with medium to large off white head. Aroma was very nice with grapefruit, pine and caramel. My initial reaction was indifference; however it did grow on me a bit with time. Initially malt is the centerpiece, but the hops slowly emerged. Citrus and pine finish. Some general sweetness up front. Was a little thin. To me I think that this is slightly overrated. CheersMate1 (770), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 2, 2007 This beer has a very nice hop smell to it. The hop aroma is very intense. I love the balance in the taste between the malts and the hops. This beer actually has a great balance between the malts and the hops. This beer also has a nice caramel gold color The beer is almost too thin. I wish it had a creamier consistency. I love the fact that the beers bittering hop is nice and noticeable. Overall, great balance between hops and malts in the flavor, a great and long lasting hop taste. A wonderful hop aroma. Just love the hops in this I.P.A. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Nov 2, 2007 Pours amber with a strong white head. Nose of fruity citrus hops, floral and sweet. Lighter carbonation, not as lively on the palate. Good balance, didn’t try to go the kicking bitterness way. A bit thin overall, but still a nice beer. Tastes like a lot of other IPAs in this market at a much lower price so it probably won’t do well here even though it’s well made. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 2, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours copper with a good size white head. Aroma of floral hops, slight fruit, and citrus. The flavor is slightly sweet fruit upfront, citrus, and a bitter pine finish. Good brew.
