OSLO (825), Perth, Australia Oct 1, 2007 [Bottle] Pours reddish amber with a small white head. Very strong citrusy hops and some nice malt. Taste is citrus up front, then malt, and then a quite bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel. Aside from the aroma being really nice, nothing really set this beer apart. I would drink it again, but only if it was cheaper here. TheEpeeist (1430), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 30, 2007 16.9 oz bottle. Clear orange with a generous bone head. Pineapple, citrus and peppery dough. Bitter, sour apple tingles on the tongue. Orange malts and some grapefruit juice. Light drying with pith and crabapple. Well made but not so distinctive. hopdog (5534), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 28, 2007 1pt .9 oz bottle. Poured a medium amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of floral hoppiness, citrus, pine, and some sweet malts. Tastes of pine, citrus, light caramel, and a little fruity. Alcohol content hidden. Not overly bitter with a lighter malt balance. BelgiskOlklub (397), Viby J, Denmark Sep 28, 2007 50 cl. bottle. Cloudy, amber, white foam mostly disapearing. Grass, citrus, medium/very bitter, medium sweetness, long bitter finish. blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 25, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber-orange with a large lasting foamy off-white head. Looking good. Aroma: Oh yeah, that’s nice: Spicy hops, sweet caramel malt and fruit. Nice flavour of UK hops backed by caramel malt, spices and fruit and with a long bitter finish. Alcohol’s totally hidden. Medium to full bodied. This is a wonderful IPA, I easily and quickly drank the whole bottle and if I’d had one cooled, I would have drank another one. Svesse (2601), Hässelby, Sweden Sep 16, 2007 (Bottle) Dark reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with brief bubbly off-white head. Fruity nose with orange peel, grapefruit and loads of resin and pine needles. Underneath there are notes of slightly toasty, sweet caramel. Fruity, very hoppy taste with grapefruit, orange peel, pine needles, resin and thick, massive flavours of american hops in a long finish. Lots of caramel, malt sweetness shines through all the way. Full body, thick, almost oily mouthfeel. Massive, uncompromising IPA. Not for the weak hearted. Great beer! GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 4, 2007 Bottle. Hazy orange-amber with a moderate sized white head. Aroma and flavour of sweet tea and honey, with hints of citrus (or marmalade, to be accurate) and pineapple. Body is a bit sticky, but still nice. Finish is a bit warm, which works well with the flavours. Very nice stuff. Miksu (2194), Jyväskylä, Finland Sep 2, 2007 0.5 l bottle. Hazy brown to amber color. Sweetish, grainy and hoppy aroma with marmelade, melon, pineapple and grapefruit. Bittersweet flavor with vinous bitterness, pine, pineapple and some sharp alcohols.
