french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Apr 27, 2007 Thanks to thewolf for this one. Drank in a tulip. Thick brown hazy /murky poor with a nice foamy light brown head. Aromas of ginger, caramel, very hoppy, floral, pine... lots of spices... Creamy thick, long lasting bitterness, peppery with a nice dry finish. Full bodied, nicely carbonated. Flavors are preaty much the same... almost fuller. This beers character reminds me a little of an Orval. I love it! Phil (100), Kent, England Apr 17, 2007 Expecting more from this beer! Way too carbonated... hazy amber, massive head - typical US ’C’ hop aromas - good, but no cigar! but 3.5 isn’t bad! stouby (1932), Holbaek, Denmark Apr 16, 2007 Bottle at home.
Unclear, golden amber with a very larfge beaige head, some lacings. Aroma moderate malty (caramel),, heavy hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body, normal carbonated. caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Apr 10, 2007 skortila poured a very cloudy wannabe-orange beige color with a big frothy off-white head. Cloudy strokes of yeast swirled down to the bottom of the glass, a Dutch sky was nothing compared to this view. Aroma of cascade hop, slightly fruity and yeasty (what a surprise). Very soft, fruity and bit yeasty taste, but not very bitter as most other IPAs I’ve had. Soft bitter palate. Nice balance. I like this one very much! skortila (2875), Bunnik, Netherlands Apr 10, 2007 Aroma is floral, hoppy and fruity. Cloudy, brown-orange coloured with an off-white, medium head. Taste is just moderate bitter, yeasty, sweet and fruity (grapefruits). Very smooth palate for the style. Enjoyable. bridge (659), Sydney, Australia Apr 1, 2007 A sensational looking beer, cloudy amber with a big pillowy head that left a delicate lacing. Super strength floral hop aroma with pine and a bit of citrus. Alcohol is a bit obvious in the aroma, along with a caramelly malt base. A nice even bitterness in the flavour which is quite lasting. Actually, it lingers for a bloody long time at the back of the tongue. While in the mouth it’s quite nice, but the bitterness really sticks out like dogs balls after swallowing. A decent IPA, but a touch over the top (thanks to highlandlad for sharing) Brix (371), Denmark Mar 28, 2007 Tasted 2007-03-22. Fresh bottle, 50cl. Dense, toffee colour with light, creamy head. Fresh aroma of grape fruit - bitter. Hoppy taste. Very nice body. Very balanced for an IPA. plovmand (1590), Helsinge, Denmark Mar 27, 2007 Bottle. Light Amber colour. Very hoppy aroma with notes of sweet malt. Beautilful balanced hoppy flavor. Very nice IPA.
