sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Mar 25, 2007 (Bottled) Opaque dark orange-amber with a small, bubbly head. Very perfumy, rosemary-lavendery aroma with lots of aromatic-flowery hops. Sweetish-malty, quite bitter, but mostly aromatic-perfumy-hoppy flavor with some grassiness, too. Yeast smoothens the flavor, but it remains interesting. Medium to full-bodied, smooth-creamy and quite low-carbonated palate. A very balanced and enjoyable IPA. Pretty much like Nogne O IPA, but smoother. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA Mar 23, 2007 Bottle. A better example of American IPA than the vast majority of American IPA’s! Orange color. Big time aroma and taste, full of hops. Very nice IPA. EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark Mar 20, 2007 Bottle. Hazy orange colour with small lasting head. Caramel and fruity flavor. Medium body. LinusStick (1830), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 15, 2007 Acuired via my first international trade-Thanks Maria-A Dark Lord is coming! Pour was a dark orange/light brown with no head. Aroma was floral/citrus hops. Taste was non-carbonated-don’t think this beer should be like this. Taste was floral and earthy hops with some malt in the background. Nice and bitter aftertaste but could use some carbonation. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 11, 2007 Sampled on 7/15/06 at the RBSG ’06 Grand Tasting courtesy of Ungstrup: Pours a hazy copper bronze with a thin, wispy off-white head. Nice, fresh sweet caramel malt and big piny grapefruity hop aroma. Body starts with a sweet, gritty caramel maltiness and good fresh hoppy balance toward a drier bittersweet finish. A nice IPA. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 1, 2007 50 cL bottle. Orange/red with very little head. Very flowery aroma of chinook, cascade and amarillo. Sweet and hoppy taste with a long lasting bitterness. The balance is this beer is fantastic, I assume it is 3 malts that is making this happen. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic Mar 1, 2007 rbesg06gt, bottled. deep amber colour with a steady head. big lychee and pine aroma, plenty of hop character. quite sweet, hints of pineapple nectar, some grapefruit, full-bodied, very american in character bierkoning (5987), La Tropica, Netherlands Feb 27, 2007 Bottle.
