Bottle, valid till 060310. aroma:pine and some sweet fruit. Cloudy with a small lasting foam. Bitter taste, but you can sense a lot of fruit/sweet underneath. Nicely balanced, nothing gets in the way of something else. i didn’t even think about alc, bf. i felt it.. overall great, but some kind of combination of aroma and flavor took of a point. Probably a great beer for those who love the style to begin with.

Aug 20, 2008 lots of head and lacing. sweetness and a round bitterness makes for a euro-version of an american ipa or double. Good, but not great.

Aroma: sweet, moldy, musky, basement, pine, citrus. 8 out of 10.
Visuals: hazy, sandblasted bronze, thin white head, lightly laced. 4 out of 5.
Taste: barley, specialty grains, hops, water, craft. 10 out of 10.
Palate: loose, juicy, long dark bitter finish. 5 out of 5.
Overall: deeper and darker than the average IPA. I’d seek it out. It’s great. It’s a favorite IPA for a devoted hophead. It is masterfully crafted. 19 out of 20.

Aug 19, 2008 Bottle from Cave Direct (Beer merchants), many thanks for tipping me off about these beers Phil L, cheers mate Corking IPA really lovely, had this last week. Good punchy hoppy nose some pine, some floral but plenty there. Nice bittersweet taste, clean fresh but very hoppy, nice citrussy flavours in particluar I get some nice sweet tangerine, good tanginess, a very nice beer.

Aug 19, 2008 Bottle, floral hops notes, light malt aromas. Taste is slightly bitter, pine and some citrus, and cereal grains. A bit waxy. Decent mouthfeel not bad at all quite enjoyable but still not as complex or robust as other IPAs.

This IPA pours a copper gold color from a 50cl bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is floral, grapefruity and a touch of caramel malts. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Crisp and clean. A nice IPA without being over the top or a huge flavored IPA. This would be a nice everyday drinking IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
