A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 31.08.15. Hazy, pale orange. Huge, foamy and uneven off-white head. Aroma of bitter grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits, pine and succade. Bitter taste of citrus, papaya and dried fruits, balanced with malt, sugar and caramel.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. Nice sweet hoppy brew with a lot of fruits and caramel.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and some tropical fruitiness, grapefruit - citrus hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty - lightly oaty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and some tropical fruitiness, grapefruit - citrus hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty - lightly oaty and dryish - lightly sweetish, faint caramel and light tropical fruitiness, lots of citrus - some grapefruit hoppyness. OK dryish IPA. Could be drier with less (without) caramel. Oat also brings "mellow flavor" that not usually wanted in IPAs. Well hopped IPA anyway.

33cl bottle served in a teku glass. Amber pour with massive (slightly) off white head. Clean hop aroma which transcends into a crisp and citrus taste with a very hop forward palate with the malt only really balancing rather than overpowering. A slightly astringent paracetomol bitterness with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Other than these slightly picky observations a pretty good IPA

330ml bottle, pours dark gold, amber, small but lasting foamy white head. Medium caramel malt backbone, with plenty of juicy hop, citrus and pine on toast. A hefty kick of bitternes comes in and lasts for a long time. Body is medium, oily texture, light sweetness medium bitterness. Carbonation is soft. Very much as advertised and a tasty west coast style bitter piney IPA
