Earlier batches brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy light amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is rose water, peaches, apricot, soapy herbs and hints of caramel, pine and resin. Taste is pine, caramel, red fruits, resin and hints of bitter herbs, red berries and grapefruits. 6 Medium body and carbonation. A decent, pretty straight-forward American IPA from Mikkeller, with no big surprises.

330 ml bottle ordered from Csakajosor. Served straight from the fridge in a 0,5 l IPA glass. Look: Murky amber, deep orange colour, nice head with decent retention, lacing is fine Smell: notes of resin, pine, orange, interesting malt character in the background Taste: does follow the smell in my opinion, balanced with a weird malt sweetness, but it is okay Feel: medium body, sweet aftertaste accompanied by a bitterness boom, i like this balance but it is only my point, active carbonation Overall: it is worth trying, i am keen on this experimental approach of Mikkeller. I will try the single hop batches in order to be able to improve my hop detection. Nice brew.

330ml can from Brewdog shop. Big off white head, nice lacing. Slightly hazy amber body. Nose is pine, caramel, orange. Flavour is citrus, caramel, metallic, grass, pine, good bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation, mouthfeel is fairly chewy and sticky. The bitterness really lingers, a proper US style IPA.

Stateside ipa pint at the Mikkeller pop in Kyoto. The opaque reddish brown has a big fruity-floral aroma of bitting caramel and herbs. The taste is herbal spicing butting heads with fruits.

Tap at Before 9. Deep brown-orange, cloudy, high head. Nose of caramel, pine, oranges, peaches. Lots of caramunich coming through. Very old school, piny caramel. Nice enough though.

Fairly nice pale ale. From a can provided by the brewdog club. Not particularly memorable to be fair and I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but I did enjoy it. Crisp and clean without major hops, quite sessionable I reckon ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can at Frog Fest, 29/05/16. Golden to copper with a decent off White head. Nose is caramel, bitter orange, straw, toasted bread, melon. Taste comprises caramel malt, orange peel, red grapefruit, candyfloss, bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Ok IPA if a little old skool and malt forward for my liking.
