Earlier batches brewed by Mikkeller at Ørbæk Bryggeri, Ørbæk, Denmark.
A love of American microbrews is the inspiration behind this IPA, brewed with generous amounts of aromatic, American hops, which provide the significant freshness and bitterness with lots of citrus notes. The taste sensations are nicely balanced by the sweetness from the caramel malt.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pilsner, munich and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (chinook, cascade and amarillo) and ale yeast.

Smells delicious - grapefruit and satsuma. The beer appears to be over-conditioned. Carbonation is hard. Tasty Mikkeller hops obviously. In which section do I rate the fizziness? Is it wrapped up in the overall? I’d like some overalls. Would be 14/15 overall without the fizz.

3/III/15 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: 19/XI/16 (2015-254) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy orange beer, creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: fruity, sweet, resinous, some overripe fruits, sweet malts. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: yes! Nice stuff... Fruity start, yet pretty bitter, citrus, pineapple, bit sourish. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, dry, piny, bit resinous, little funky almost.

pours ambery, clear with huge frothy top due to high carbo level, light lasing. Aroma- intense, pleasant combo of resiny, citrus and flowery notes. Taste- light sweet with good bitternesss level throughout, start and finish is ok, maybe could be bitter in the middle. Palate- medium bodied, juicy texture with a little too high carbonation for drinkability to remain perfect. But overall was very pleasant.

Bottle. Hazy orange/amber pour with dense lasting offwhite head. Powerful and intense aroma with peach. Taste is balanced with a kick of bitterness. Very good. Quite high carbonation.

Malty body, mucky colour body, absolutely smashing if you like heavy ipas instead of flowery, aromatic ones

Botella...ambar oscuro con ciertos tonos dorados. Espuma blanca algo amarillenta.

(330ml bottle from Mikkeller & Friends shop) Pours hazy copper with a huge pillow of off white head that recedes to a cap that lingers with lace. Aroma of caramel and biscuit malt with orange and grapefruit peel, pine needle, earthy. On the palate, core of moderate caramel sweetness with bready, biscuity malt notes. Orange and grapefruit, florals, earthy pine. Munich malt comes out clearly on the finish which is pretty dry and fairly lightly bitter for style. Astringent tea quality on the aftertaste. Fairly light body with moderate creamy carb. Not super punchy hops for an IPA, a bit malt driven. A decent beer but not amazing. Easy drinking however.
