Dark brown with a small head. The aroma was rather heavy and complex with a lot of malt, fruit, some plums and dust. The taste was vinous and sweet with toffee, dried fruit, yeast, malt and notes of alcohol. A very nice beer that I never though that I would try.

Huge thanks to yespr for that bottle! Never thought I would get a chance to try that rare beer. Bottle looks very simple, small label. Beer in the glass brown, small head. Fiery-malty aroma. Starts very strong, intense malty, a bit dusty-old. Quite fiery alcoholic, but not too much. Some fruity hints of plum. Fiery finish, goes down burning. Probably already a bit past its prime, but still an awesome beer! Thanks again yespr for the bottle!
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Mora2000 (4048) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 11, 2012
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this at his 10,000th rating tasting.
The beer pours a brown color with a white head. The aroma has some toffee and cherry notes, as well as some sherry characteristics. The flavor is just not that great to me. I get the same toffee and sherry notes as I got in the aroma, with some oak and vanilla also added. All of that being said, there is something going on in the flavor which I am having a hard time describing but doesn’t sit right with me. It adds a dirty quality and ruins the beer for me. Since no one else at the tasting seemed to get it, I assume it is not a flaw, but just something in the beer I don’t like. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
