50cl bottle split wth Tomaz @ home. Cuivrée-acajou, col épais crémeux beige. Arôme est fumé subtile et modéré, caramel, et des houblons nobles laissant un bouquet citronné et houblonné. Palais est malté, caramel avec un petit côté fruité rappelant la prune et raisin sec. Malt reste dans le style allemand entre pils, et Munich avec une pointe de fin de bouche tirant sur le toffee. Les 10% rajoutent une pointe réchauffante avec en même temps un caramel et léger fumé qui lui reste assez en retrait. Amertume est légère et modérée avec qcq pointe de citronné.

Dark brown pour. Big tan head. Plenty of lacing. Malt and vanilla in the nose. A very feint aroma of smoke. More smoke on the mouth though. And a nice vanilla note atop the malt forward-ness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Une bouteille de 50 cl. Un liquide brun foncé et sa petite coiffe chancelante. Un nez dans lequel des petites baies foncées sont à la remorque de parfums caramélisés et de fumée sucrée par du bois d’érable. Sur mes papilles, une vague caramélisée qui transporte des notes de fumée, de terre et d’herbes. En bouche, un corps presque rond avec un apport assez modéré des bulles et une texture proprement huileuse. Une finale qui montre les signes d’un alcool floral et le caractère aiguisé de houblons herbeux.

Style et résumé: American Strong Ale bousté à l’alcool et touche de fumé. Trop c’est trop.

Description: Liquide brun foncée avec une mousse beige. Très odorant le nez de cette bière offre des notes de chocolat, de fruits. Le malt fumé est peu apparent. Belle texture huileuse. L’alcool est puissant en bouche. Mélange agréable de chocolat, de fruit et touche de fumé. Forte amertume d’alcool et de houblon en fin de bouche. Un monstre !

Bottle... Cloudy brown pour with burnt-orange highlights and small fizzy white head. The nose is a blend of smoked caramel malt, golden raisins, tawny port and maple syrup. Full-bodied and silky with tickling carbonation. The flavor is bittersweet - far more bitter than sweet. Lengthy, bitter finish. The smoked malt is too faint to include the word “rauch” in the name of this beer. Nonetheless, it was a privilege to be able to try this collaboration from two very cool brewers. Merci à toi Pat pour cette offrande.Le liquide est brun-noir,avec un petit col et un anneau de mousse beige.Au nez, fumé,la mélasse et les mûres foncées.Au goût,c’est rond,légèrement sucré à l’entré,fumé,la mélasse,l’alcool et des houblons amères avec une finale,plutôt malté et légèrement café.Vive les rauchbeeres !!!!!!!!&#

Bottle @ Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Tar black body, medium creamy off white head. Nose is smokey meat, black currants, hints of sweet raisins and licorice. Taste is roasty coffee and smoked meat tones, alcohol, dark berries and hints of grains and ashes. Dry, alcoholic finish. Heavy, thick palate with moderate carbonation. 0.5 L bottle brought home from Kihoskh, København, Lightly tanned fingerthick cream head. Dark brown body with a reddish hue. Rounded smoke aroma. Fruity and herbal tones. Taste is peppery and herbal smoky dark malts. Fairly dry. Medium body. Quite hot in the mouth. Balanced smoky and malty/bitter ending. Quite a good one. [09.02.13]

500 ML into a tulip Pours a dark, murky brown. Near black in some ways. Light brown one finger head. Lots of spotty lacing. Initial smoke smell that drops off to dark fruits and floral notes. Slightly sweet nose. Sweet smoky taste. Like hickory and sweet bacon in some way. Sweet stewed dark fruits and slightly candied with just touches of peat in the background. Smoke and peat in the feel. Somewhat heavy feel with some touches of carbonation that cut through the sweetness to make this workable. Hides the alcohol well. Good beer

pours very dark, slight ruby tinge against light, med head. smells..pretty malty and smokey, choc and maybe some dried dark fruit. tastes...more dried fruit, bushfire smoke, malt, booze and some spice at end.
