Tap @ BBF. Hazy pinkish color, medium off-white head. Aroma of sour cherry, notes of wood. Very sour taste, bit too sour actually. I prefer the balanced sourness of the dirty horse.

On tap at BBF, De Molen. Without doubt the best beer I had on De Molen. Luckely I had the chance to fill up my glass several times. Must say that its the best sour ale I´ve ever had. The appearence were impressive deep red with a cloudy hazyness with a neat little pink head. The aroma, sharp and sour with cherries X 10 topped with wooden notes. The taste was huge and very complex. Fat and sour . Round and sharp. Had alot of (so done as the one dropped from the tree) cherries. The alcohol is there someway and creates an vinoes attitute with a sharp profile that makes your mouth turn in to something like a chickens ass. Has a body like Marylin Monroe topped with neat cherries. Best sour ale (if we call it that) that I’ve had. Thx

On tap at the 1st BBF at De Molen. Body is a deep purple color with a small off white head. Nose is strong cherry, tart and a bit woody. Taste is fresh cherry, plum, very sour but very drinkable and a pleasure to the taste buds.

Tap@1stBBF. Although I’m really into sours this was not my kind of beer. It was just overly sour, too sour in my opinion, but a went like crazy in my mouth. There was just too much. Cherry, wood, cherry pits, alcohol, vinegar, other red berries, marzipan. But one thing I really disliked, a kind of chemical or medicinal flavour. I could not even finish a whole tasting glass.

Number 1600. On draft at 1st Borefts Beer Festival, Bodegraven. Dark red coloured. Nose of cherry, wood, some other fruit, an omen of intense sourness... which is indeed the case. This stuff is extremely sour and fruity, but still very complex. I thought my senses had gone numb after all those Imperial Stouts, but this was still a pretty intense experience. A beer for the sourheads, but after all minorities should be served as well :-). Great stuff.

bierkoning (8953) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - NOV 3, 2009
Tap @ 1st BBF De Molen. Purple red color. Cherry aroma with vinous and cellar notes. Acidic sour flavor with cherry, marzipan, cellar notes and cherry pits, lingering on in the long aftertaste. This beer is touching the edges of drinkability in terms of sourness, but not crossing it. A very good effort.
