0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 HULK777 (25) - - MAY 12, 2013
Sour taste of citrus fruits with hints of urea. Makes your tongue crinkle. Where’s a weasel when you need it... (In defence of the sour ale, I must say I’m not a fan of the style in general.)
2.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ApisAles (1402) - Greenbelt, Maryland, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Murky red/brown pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma is straight up acetone. Smells like nothing but nail-polish remover. If you get past that, the flavor of the beer is interesting. Tart, fruity, maybe some raisins and dark cherries. Shared bottle and for half the folks it was a drain pour and the other half thought it was amazing. I liked it, but the smell killed it.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 EtTuCthulhu (398) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAR 10, 2013
The appearance of this beer has many interesting components: a murky opacity, large pieces of black sediment, a brownish orange color, and a small white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is overwhelming, for the combination of astringent vinegar and red fruit, which makes it smell like a Merlot that has gone slightly bad. The taste is quite sour, slightly bitter, and slightly sweet, but the astringent after taste doesn’t allow the nice taste to linger on your tongue for long. Despite this negative impact of the finish on the palate as a whole, the flat carbonation, slick texture and medium body are not bad.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tmrmwel (510) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 26, 2013
Bottle. Pours dark brown, with almost no head at all. Aroma is oak, balsamic vinegar brett, and sweet berries and cherries. Flavour is an oaky sour with lots of fruit as apples and cherries, giving an almost sweetly balsamic and fruity finish. A pleasant surprise!

Thanks to yespr for that one. Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, huge head. Starts quite sour, intense fruity notes of cherries. Finish less sour, also some sweet notes in the background. But a bit unbalanced and so not too drinkable. Had better Mikkellers.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Parket (553) - Bruges, BELGIUM - JAN 14, 2013
bottle from dranken Geers, dark reddish coloured with very small white head. Cherry, woody smell. Taste: maybe some great fruity cherry .. Ooh, I didn’t expect such a good one! Why are they retired?

Pours with almost no head. Pours a cloudy reddish brown. This is quite a strange taste, though not unpleasant. Doesnt feel like a 10 percent beer.

30th May 2011 Cloudy red brown beer, residual off white head. Light palate, semi dry. Moderate carbonation. Tart medicinal toned Worcester Sauce! Some paradoxical sweet notes. A little cherry underneath. Finishes dry with a lingering tart aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Flavors of carmel, toffee, apple cider vinegar and cinnamon with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering funky spiced finish.
