Pours an amber pour with a small tan head. Smells strangely like soy sauce. Harsh acetic notes, some dark fruits, strawberry, and raspberry fruit notes. Weird sweetness to it, too. The vinegar dominates the flavor. A bit of strawberry and raspberry, some soy sauce saltiness, a bit of nail polish remover and solvent harshness to it.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Pours a hazy reddish orange appearance with very little head. Spicy, vinegar, balsamic, weird berry aroma. Super gross, acetic, acetone, vinegrette, super acidic, nasty flavor. Very hard to drink.

Pour on out of 22 bottle, Aarom for the pour. Dark red pour with thin white head, aroma has notes of wine vinegar, hints of raspberry, touch of lemon, grape, hints of funk. Taste is a mix of raspberry, hints of biscuit, acetone, nail polish. Not good.

50 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 18.06.2011
Aroma is sourish with cherries and some oaky notes. Flavour is sour and somewhat sweet with woody notes, some cherries and vinegar. These Oud Bruin beers are just not my thing.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Light malty and hoppy very sour aroma. Light bitter exstremely sour vinegar flavor. Average finish. Oily palate. Rubbish and no good.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2012 Somewhat clear brown body, creamy tan head, surprisingly. Fermented fruit, pickled raisins, some dead hops. Sourness, yes, but loads of residual sugars, brown sugar and fruit juice concentrate. This is crazy... Quite surprised by this one, much better than expected for a 10% sour ale. (At the De Molen tasting)

Color is orange-brown, a bit hazy. The aroma is (wine) vinegar, oak and has a light maltyness. Tingling to the mouth, taste has lots of oak, some wine vinegar, dark fruits and a light malty sweetness in the end. A very nice sour ale, but might be a bit of an acquired taste.

Thx! to Belgbeergeek // #40 Mikkeller rating // not a big fan of the artist who makes these label but I am not drinking this for the label // dark slightly hazy Bordeaux, small white head // lots of tart fruits, heavy on vinegar, touch paint thinner, sour malt, sour berry vinegar, red wine vinegar – apparently mellowed down now, fresh this was apparently pure pain thinner, cool // slightly sweet vinegar taste, sour berries, cherries, sour tannins hint, paint stripper, lots of sour malt, vinegar finish, small cranberry & sweet side, even touch sugar below the vinegar, harsh man, I love this, raw, industrial-esque, its both sweet & quite sour // med. carb, dry & dries the mouth // I am intrigued (50 cl. bottle split)
