Draft. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of whiskey, peated smoke, soy sauce, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, chilis, roasted malt, soy sauce, and peated smoke as well as a bit of whiskey, leading to a dry roasted finish.

On tap. Pours black and opaque with a small light brown head leaving a discreet lacework. Sweet roasted malt in the nose - and sweet whisky notes. Quite a rich body, a little low in carbonation, sweet roasted malt, somwwhat oxidized barrel character where the whisky feels smooth and warming. Hardly any bitterness. 011011

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Opaque black beer. Little bubbly brown head. Crispy palate. Dark malt - crisp and not bitter or roasty. A little emulsion paint from the barrel aging. Mild speyside comes through - quite well balanced. Mild chilli heat in the finish. Not fierce though. Ok.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Black color, with dark brown head, not persistent. Mild aroma of sweet chocolate, and light roasted malts, covered by something that seems ripe apples. Medium body; with the dark chocolate flavor there is a light fruity sweetness that seems out of place; the chili pepper is present in mild form, providing a gentle feeling, comparable to the alcohol in other beers; medium alcohol feeling, that may be given by the whiskey cask.
Chaotic beer, lacking of cohesion.

Bottle, 375ml. A dark brown, almost black beer topped by a dense, tan head of moderate size. Vanilla, some chili, and roasted matls and chocolate in the aroma. The flavor has more vanilla than I’d expect, also it feels more vanilla-ish than the vanilla and cocoa edition. Roasted malts, booze and chocolate. Full body, with chili burn and roasted malts in the finish. A nice one, tasteful and pleasant, and dangerously easy drinkable. 120914
