375ml bottle at Belgrade tasting. Thanks Alberto! Black brown with brown head. Sweet chocolate, very rich. Sweet, slight chili aftertaste. Builds heat. Drying roast takes sweetness away. Very interesting beer.

Bottle from Willows Market. Darkest brown pour with a one finger fading brown head. Smoky roasty aroma with coffee and prunes. Intense flavor, very roasty and coffeeish with mild malty sweetness and some hop bitterness in the finish. Smoky chipotle as well. Thick mouthfeel, almost like an imperial stout. Very full body. Doesn’t quit. Pretty legit.

Tap @ Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours almost black with a frothy brown head. Aroma is liquorice, roasted espresso, dark chocolate and a dash of raisins. Taste is quite bitter with a coffee-ish finish with quite a nicely dry roasty feel to it. The chili lingers mildly on the palate, but is played-down a lot. Not as spicy as expected, but rather nice none the less.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2014 Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours pitch black with a pretty thin, brown head. Aromas of pretty sweet chili, chocolate and leather. Pretty stale-like. Tastes of sweet chili but also a good burned chocolate-like and liquorice taste. Good burned malt.

Bottle at Barbers fake Christmas day do, bought from Brewtique, Macclesfield. Poured very dark brown with a brown head. Aroma I’m really liking the hint of chilli, chocolate, leather. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, some smoke, I really liked the amount of chilli kick in the flavour too. I love chilli and I love chilli beer when done right like this. Interesting and tasty.

Pitch Black with no head. From bottle. Porter effect with slight watery palate in contrast with the chili burn at the back of the throat. Nice overall.

330ml bottle. pours a slightly murky brown with a thin tanned head. aroma is a little odd. slightly nutty, sweet and bready. but the taste does as described. chipotle chilli is hidden well at first but comes through after a minute or two. not overpowering and just a little spice. nice.
