Pours a nice thick stout brown with a tan head. Nose is dark malt, some roast, some smoke, some peat, and some earthy pepper quality. Flavor is similar with hints of roast and peat asserting themselves all the way through the finish. Medium to full-bodied and not bad overall.

Shared by Sparky at RBWG. Itís chuck norris in a bottle, so if I rated it poorly I wouldnít be alive to rate this. Luckily it poured a dark brown with aroma of spices, coffee and chocolate. Flavor is choco-spices, coffee, and peppers integrate well with the brew. Thanks Eric!

Black with a creamy light brown head. Rich chocolate, amber, and coffee aroma. Tastes of smoke, chocolate, coffee, chile pepper and salty caramel with a pleasantly warm finish.

750mL bottle. Poured deep brown with a deep yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up warm darker chocolates and coffee, nicely roasted, with campfire smoke-laden chipotles accenting. The flavor found near-burnt coffee grounds and black patent malts with building, smoky chipotle burn through long after the finish.. balance was excellent, and I loved the burn. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. nice feel to it.. excellent beer!

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours damn near black with a dense tan head. The nose is peaty with notes of antiseptic, smoke, and peppers. The flavor starts on the peaty and antiseptic side, but quickly moves to dark chocolate, smoke, and chipotles. There is a nice warming sensation on the tongue, but itís not overly spicy. Rich in body with lower carbonation leading to a medium to long roasty and spicy finish. Definitely a different brew and well made at that. Iím glad I had it, but I see it more as a novelty.

Rather impressive, the porter element of thing definitely holds up the front end with some slightly smokey, roasted/chocolate malt sweetness, and the finish has some lingering spice that turns up a notch after a bit. It gets to be a bit too spicy, and I say this as someone who has eaten ghost chilies and whole habanero peppers. Still very good, but glad I had 2 friends to share with.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy nice aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Alas too much chili. I hate chili in beer!. Long moderate bitter burning finish. Improoves with chocolate I must admit. Creamy palate.

Big smokey chocolate nose with a little it of burn. Smooth up front, but the chipotle spice catches you on the tail end . Finishes like a black permanent marker.
