Bottle from Hallís. I love the Texas Rangers, therefore I should love this beer. Pours a dark dark brown with a wicked tan head. Aroma is a chocolaty roast with some beef and pepper notes. Heavy on the nose. Flavor is beefy with lots of pepper. The finish has a wonderful beef rib finish. Not too spicy. Has some kick at the front but fades away. Wow this is actually pretty good.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a large dirty brown foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of smoked malt with roasted oat and some light spicy undertone. Taste is not as spicy as I would have expected but smoked malt is very prevalent with some black chocolate notes as well. Body is full with nice creamy texture and great carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Different with great execution and nice creamy texture with not too much peppers

Pour thanks to daknole! Deep brown/black with an intense beige head. Mikkeller makes such attractive beers. Aroma is heavy with dark chocolate, espresso, and a nice underlying spice. Flavor shows the same with additional roast malt, light smoke, and the chipotle spice definately makes itself known. Overall body is full, viscous, and finishes with a dry bitterness and spicy heat. Mmmm.

A: The pour is viscous and black with a big mocha colored head that has great staying power. S: A very subtle chili spice that lies underneath a nice smokey and roasty nose. There is a bit of a woody note too, along with a bit of earth and salt. T: The chipotles give this beer a real interesting flavor. Smoke, spice, salt, and earth all come to mind immediately. The beer is quite rich and chocolatey with lots of roasted character as well. M: I was surprised when I checked the label to see this beer is only 6.6% because the mouthfeel is very impressive. Very full bodied with a nice creamy carbonation. D: This is (surprisingly) one of the best Mikkeller beers that Iíve come across. A really nice porter with a well done chili addition.

Please consult your doctor before drinking this beer. May cause heartburn, A strong smell of burned toast, and fire in the back of your throat. Ask your doctor if chipotle porter is right for you today.

My bottle said Chipotle Porter. OK, but not great. Some hints of heat but really no chile flavor. Didnít get much Porter roastiness either. Maybe these chile beers arenít for me despite growing up on the things here in Tejas. I didnít care for Rogueís either.

Bottle via a trade with bu11zeye. Pours with a black body and a tan head. Aroma is smokey, alcohol, chocolate, roast and earth. Taste is alcohol, smoke and spice. Peppery notes. A bit of burn. Dry finish. Not my thing.

Thick black pour, chocolate brown pour. Aroma hits with some chili peppers, chocolate, espresso. Flavor is lightly spiced with some great chocolate notes and espresso roast coming out. Bitter chocolate finish. Awesome.

Had this at BCTC after the fest, back at the campsite. Pours a hazed brown with a medium sized beige to tan head. Very faint peppers, soft smoke. Chocolate, toast and roast. Subtle chocolate and pepper. Not much heat. Nice.
