Bottle. Pours balck with a brown head. Hops and dark malts in aroma. Notes of dark chocolate. Taste is hoppy at first, then malty (coffee and chocolate). The aftertaste is quite spectacular with notes of smoke, bitter dark chocolate and some chili. The chili is quite balanced and actually a "natural" part of the brew. One of the best chili brews ivíe had even if its a little too much of everything for being really drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black beer with a large, creamy lightbrown head. The appearance is very nice and gets a rare 5. The aroma is roasted, coffee, licorice and smoke. The flavor is roasted, smoke, peat smoke and some warmth from the chili. The palate is roasted, coffe and chili. Overall a good beer with a good balance.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Poured a rich black. Nose is very similar to the beer geek stout. Rich malty, chocolate and coffee. Iím going to guess and say that itís the base beer for this. The chipolte adds a nice spice note and cimpliments well. Pretty spicy too. If you like splicy porter this one youíll love.

Had this one @ CBF 2010. Black colored brew with a nice brown head. Pepper in the aroma, some coffee and chocolate. In the flavor there are chocolate malts and peppers, spicy!

Very stable, huge and very dark brown head over near black beer. Roasted coffee nose, dry hops and mole sauce, and very outspoken black cardemom peel aroma. Coffee, spiced, but the typical smoked chipotle flavour only comes out retronasal, together with a telltale heat in the throat. Well-bodied, very slick, fiery MF. Smokiness mounts all along. Certainly not bad - but... Doable as it might be on the chili matter, I had already problems finishing a glass; 75cl bottling is a silly idea, a real waste in this case.

Black with a large creamy brown head and excellent lacing. Roasted malts and coffee aroma. Flavors are acidic, sweet and bitter carrying roasted and smoked aromas with a chilli warmth to prove it! Full bodied. Oily texture with a dry finish. Very nice! Sampler @ CBF 2010.

On Tap at TAP 1, Copenhagen 07/05/2010 Big roast aroma. Dark beige head. Black rich on the palate strong in alcohol and fruity with a little dryness in a burning chilli and roast finish.

28-MAY-2010, draft @Mikkeller. Black with brown head. That yellow hue that is sometimes seen in black beers... Roasted, sweet and only slightly smokey. The chili hits the throat after some seconds, and burns a little. Very nice and very creamy porter. A very fine base porter and for once the chili works fine in a beer, and adds to the roasted flavors.

Rating #12 from danish beer festival 2010. Black sticky look with a dark brown head. Sweet honey in the aroma along with roasted malt notes. Bitter roasted flavors with a clear chili finish. As expected which was nice.

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Very black with beige head. Asphalt aroma.Chocolate and caramel coms first, chili heat joins later, coffee liesin the background. Sweet with fairly hard mouthfeel. The chili burn crashes with the roastiness. Not one bit pleasant Iím afraid.
