Mikkeller Texas Ranger. 6,6 % chili stout.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle named, "Chipotle Porter". Pours black with a rocky light brown head that diminishes slowly and leaves great lacing. Lots of chocolate, roasty toastyness, burnt sugar, average carbonation, heavy rich full body, oily texture, nice chipolte and chocolate in the finish. Excellent.

Bottle at the first Kinki Beer Tasting. Brown-black with a tan head & a nice chocolatey aroma. Alas the taste was chocolate with chili peppers & lots of burn. It was too hot for me. A well made beer though.

Bottle from Proof. Black pour with a sudsy brown head. Deep chocolate aroma, roasted malts, smoke and peppers in the aroma. Thick chewy, dry chocolate malt up front, roast, light soy with smoke and chili peppers to round out the finish. Nice balance and tasty.

Bottle; Pour is murky brown with a two finger, fine bubbled dark khaki head in this glass - it has a nice feeling from the appearance perspective. The nose is caramel and cocoa bean, with some grass and light spicing present. The flavor profile has a medium mouthfeel initial, modest sweetness. It has a robust center, moreso than expected for something in the 6.66% range, as its called. It finishes with mild bitterness, chocolate bean and roast, moving to more grass and a touch of red chili pepper, but quite modest as far as heat is concerned. Anyway - a nice porter

Bottle labeled as chipotle porter. Pours an opaque black with dissipating brown head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma is dark chocolate, soy, and slight smoke. Taste is much more of the smoked pepper aspect. Nice balance and thick mouth for a porter.

Bottle. Pours a thick dark heavy black pour, with a massive java head. Nose is peppery, malty with notes of chocolate and roasted coffee. Taste is slightly peppery, but no real heat. Taste is sweet with notes of heavy malt and subtle coffee. Finish is sweet with mild heat and a moderately long finish. Drinks easy. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours black with a brown head and aroma of roasted malt and peppers. Taste is sweet, lots of roasted malt and chocolate with light pepper spice notes that lead into the finish. Spice is light but noticeable, and goes well with the roasty, chocolate.

Pours a three finger brown head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Black color, no highlights, some of yeast left in bottle. Good carbonation and heavy bodied. Chocolate nose and flavor is almost sweet chocolate, coffee and hints of chipotle spiciness. Beyond expensive (what was I thinking?) at $18.99 for a 375ml bottle from Julio’s Liquors Marlboro, MA.
