Poured into a Delirium Tremens glass. Beautiful to watch form in the glass. Looked like thick chocolate in the pour. Black with two fingers of tan head. The head retreated just a little to some nice lacing. Simply amazing looking.
The chipotle is obvious on the nose, but not to the point of burning. Lots of malt, some burnt, underneath.
Decent porter flavors: soft malt, dark bread and burnt malt.
But the reason we all came here was for the chipotle; and it does not disappoint. Mellow at first, with a slow rising heat until it is minutes since the last drink and you can still feel the heat on your lips. For a pepper beer, top marks.
The body is lighter for a porter, fairly smooth and almost no carbonation.
Really good. A little more on the "porter" part of the beer would be nice, but overall a super job with the chipotle. Unique, interesting and most of all, good.

bottle shared by VT, thanks bro. pours almost black with a creamy dark crema, excellent retention and a nice lacing patterns. intense chocolatey notes, very nutty too, fresh coffee beans, tobacco, dark fruitiness, roasted coffee and its acidity - slightly vegetal but no staleness, mushrooms, hint of lactose - moderate sweetness. average to moderate carbonation, light to medium body - oily, reltively dry grassy-spicy and lightly tingling chipotle finish. nice.

Pours black with a thick, creamy, mocha colored head.
Nose of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts - as expected. Very pleasant.
Medium body, moderately carbonated. At first it feels a little watery, but the aftertaste packs a punch, dominated by bitterness and a pepper "burn".
Flavor has coffee, roasted malts, chocolate a little peat, and as the initial flavor wears off, the presence of pepper is clear on the tongue.
Different, complex, hot.. I think I like it!?

Drink this with yoghurt, as it has some kick. Albeit its harsh it is perfectly balanced, giving the chilli some room to shine.

Black beer with a creamy mocca head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, a bit sweet with coffee and bread. Taste is dark and malty, coffee, hint of ashtray, some berries and surprisingly long lasting chili burn, which is not too strong and fits the beer well. Mouthfeel is smooth medium, a bit too high co2 maybe. Long finish with a pleasant chili burn. Nice one.

This tastes like one would think - chocolate and coffee notes with smoked peppers. Personally, the pepper tastes too strong. This would be a great beer for cooking though.

Tasty spicy porter. Dark brown pour. Aroma of chili chocolate candy. Taste followed with nice coffee malts and lots of hear and burnt sugar. Smoky too. Awesome balance for all the flavor. Definitely was crisp with a kick in the mouth.
