Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy nice aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Alas too much chili. I hate chili in beer!. Long moderate bitter burning finish. Improoves with chocolate I must admit. Creamy palate.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fløska. Pitch black colour with a huge nice brown creamy head leaving a good thick lacing. Very pleasant aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and some Chipotle. Good mouthfeel indeed. Lovely bit sweet soft flavour of well roasted malt, chocolate, some dark fruit, light smoke, pleasant tingeling spicy chiliness from the tasteful meaty medium spiced Chipotle (this chili pepper is a ripened jalapeño dried by smoking). Roasted malt, chocolate, mild smoke, Chipotle spiced pleasant finish. The more smoked and costful version, Chipotle Ahumado, would in my opinion be even greater compared to a Chipotle Morita. Chipotle Ahumado would be ideal in an Imperial Stout! :-)

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, grass, light smoke, light liqourice. Flavour of chocolate, roast, brown sugar, chocolate, smoke. Medium to full bodied. Roasty bitterness with a fantastic touch of the chili in the end. Black beers and chili goes well together. Very nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle (S. Brevinga Alus Salons, Riga)
7 Lovely roasty aroma, spicy hops too, a touch nettly.
5 Black, gorgeous tight tan head. Alas the barman pouerd in all the crap, but I won’t dock points for that.
7 Lovely rich roasty taste, a real buzz of tingly hops. Burntness is very dry but not astingent.
4 Very smooth palate. I would say slick, but the careless pouring might explain that, so again not docking points. Great tingle in the mouth, but it didn’t immediately say chilli to me, hoppy too. But the gentle burn in the finish explains everything - yup, it’s chilli.
14 Very good chilli beer, possible one of the best I’ve had. It’s very mellow and unaggressive (but I am very much a chilli fan), fitting in with the roast very well.
