330ml bottle, half poured in a chili, half drunk. Appears black with fast receding beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and a touch of chipotle. Taste is smooth, faintly tangy, not as much chili as I was expecting.. some coal and rich malts. In the chili it really underpined the richness of the meat with its porter like malt character. For a chili porter this was quite smooth and drinkable.

Bottle. Black body with large smooth brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, smoke and hints of chilli. Taste is first chocolate with smoke and hints of caramel and some chilli. Very smooth and creamy mouth feel. Aftertaste is first sweet roasted malts balanced by some bitterness and later on it gets hot. This was the first beer with chilli I enjoyed a little bit.

Bottle from LambicSender, 2012 vintage. Pours deep opaque black with a large creamy brown head, dissipates slowly leaving nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasty, a touch of wood smoke, chocolate, just a faint whiff of chili. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, very light smoke. Roasty and chocolate, some ashtray, coffee grounds, chili pepper present but more from a burn than a lot of flavor. As you drink the pepper builds up to a pleasant lingering heat in the throat. Full body, quite creamy in the mouth. This is a solid porter. Not sure why that little bit of pepper burn slides this to an SHV, but whatever. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Go Mikkeller.

Lots of nice dark roasty and chocolaty flavors with a nice big spicy and smoky pepper flavor that dominates the finish. Lovely.

Bottle from Secret Santa Winter 2014. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention with spare lacing. Aroma is roast, chocolate, and coffee malt, earthy hops, prunes and smoky chipotle peppers. Flavor is dark and lightly bitter roast malt, smoky chipotle peppers, dark fruits and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Butelka 0,33. W aromacie kawa, czekolada, lukrecja.

Thick, chocolate smoke coffee ginger pepper spice. Sipping beer worth contemplating. The spiciness builds up over time.

[Bottle (330ml)] Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a large semi-lasting frothy beige head and a good amount of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, wood, chocolate, hops, alcohol, some smoke and spices. Flavour of roasted malt and wood first followed by chocolate, spices, smoke, hops and a long woody finish. Medium bodied. I liked it, it didn’t blow me away but it’s a pretty good beer.

Bottle. Pours black with thin white head that clings to the edges. Coffee aroma over mild carbonation. It's mostly a coffee flavor with a hint of heat. Nice thick mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
