Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours black with a creamy beige head. The nose has chili peppers, chocolate, vanilla and light smoke. The flavor opens with chocolate, light smoke, chili peppers, and a touch of ash. The chili peppers become stronger with each taste. Quite a bit going at 6.6Č.

Black colour, beige head. The chilli taste blends in well with the stout, and is not overwhelming. One of the best chilli beers Iíve had.

Draft. Deep brown/black body with a deep tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, hop leafs, wood with a hint of flowers. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter, though the bitterness does not linger into the finish or, rather, is overtaken by the chipotle pepper heat. Medium body, velvety texture and moderate carbonation. This is one rich porter with just the right amount of pepper hotness. Dry with tastes of chocolate, coffee, smoke.

330 ml. bottle. Black with a creamy, dense tan head. Aroma with roasted malts, dark chocolate and a hint of smoke. Taste is slightly sweet (and chili burning!) with chilli and chocolate, roasted malts. Medium body, average carbonation and an oily texture. Finishes with chocolate and a nice chilli burn. This beer literally makes me sweat of the intense chilli burn. Well made, and my best spiced up beer so far!

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 Looks like a thin stout when poured but the smell of this one is amazing. You can really smell the chipotle. Chipotle comes through in the taste and it is a little spicy. The heat gets better and better as you sip on it which is exactly what I would want from a beer brewed with chili peppers. Best chili pepper beer Iíve had.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar. Dark brown/black with a minimal head. Aroma not as smokey as expected, dark malts and chocolate dominates. Perfect amount of chilies, the heat from the chipotle increases with every sip without taking over. For stouts I prefer a heavier body so if this would have been an imperial stout I would have appreciated it much more.

Bottle at Strefa Piwa, Krakow. Gorgeous in goblet, looks like an impy, dense black with dark brown head. Aroma is also big, and fresh with minty hop overlay and heat. No chili in aroma but in the throat for sure. Balance is fab, dry spicy finish with a natural acidity, chocolate. Stronger than expected, earthy dense Aztec spiced melange of flavors.

Bottle. Black pour, creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty, spicy BBQ sauce. Flavor is roasty and hot peppers in the finish. A little on the spicy side but still manageable. Quite nice.

Shared this bottle with people in line at the CBS release. Poured from a 750ml into my Deschutes snifter. A: Pours a dark brown with a nice khaki head and leaves a webbed lace down the glass. S: Smells of green peppers, a little chocolate and a little malt bill. The pepper is dominated which I expected. T: The taste blows the smell out of the water. A great smokiness is present first and foremost. The spice from the chipotle gives it a great kick and there is a green paper freshness that is great. There is a slight sweet chocolate on the backend that really rounds it out. M: Refreshing and spicy, medium bodied with a nice carbonation. O: The nose wasnít too inviting but the taste more than made up for it. Very well balanced. The best pepper beer out there. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-02-2011
