On tap at Ørsted Ølbar. Pitch black with a small tan head. Roasty and fruity aroma with coffee and chocolate notes. The flavour is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and the comes the chili. It overpowers the tasting notes after 5 or 6 sips. Creamy texture.

Very stable, huge and very dark brown head over near black beer. Roasted coffee nose, dry hops and mole sauce, and very outspoken black cardemom peel aroma. Coffee, spiced, but the typical smoked chipotle flavour only comes out retronasal, together with a telltale heat in the throat. Well-bodied, very slick, fiery MF. Smokiness mounts all along. Certainly not bad - but... Doable as it might be on the chili matter, I had already problems finishing a glass; 75cl bottling is a silly idea, a real waste in this case.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black beer with a large, creamy lightbrown head. The appearance is very nice and gets a rare 5. The aroma is roasted, coffee, licorice and smoke. The flavor is roasted, smoke, peat smoke and some warmth from the chili. The palate is roasted, coffe and chili. Overall a good beer with a good balance.

Mikkeller chipotle porter. 750ml bottle. Thx to matt for sharing this post-bbq... Pours akin to a dark porter style beer with reddish edges and a light khaki head... aroma had a fair bit of roast, cocoa, and chocolate with a subtle underlying spiciness...flavors of roasty chocolate notes with mild pepper essence with a mild to medium pepper. little heat burn in the throat which i don’t mind too much. Medium bodied, not too light or heavy. 7/4/7/4/14

750 ml bottle from WLV Liquors. Thick black with a creamy beige head. Chipolte nose burnt malts sweet smoky BBQ aroma. A good amount of that sweet BBQ smoky chipolte aroma. Chipolte sweet chocolate roasted malt flavors. Alcohol seems too apparent for 6.6%, too sweet, oddly bitter and ashy. I guess I like my habenero sauce, but this could use a bit more of a kick. 7/4/7/4/14

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a smoky roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel with a spicy malt and chocolate and a nice smoky finish. Easy to drink, a very good spice from Mikkeller.
