pitch dark, smooth brown head. nice roasted aroma, brown sugar, spicy chilli tinge. flavor is mild roasted stuff, as a base for some pretty heavy chili. sort of a chili porter. The chili is good.

From tap@Ørsted Ølbar & Cafè. Grey-shaded blond head. Body is black with brown edges. Hard roasted malts, coffee notes and earthy hops in the aroma. A pleasant spice scent too. No chili detected in the first sip. After a few minutes the chili invade the palate. Quite hot, yet balanced and enjoyable. A medium strong, slight sweet malt body is there to back up, along with notes of coffe, fruits and bitterness from the malts and the hops added. Everlasting chili finish.

Bottle via a trade with bu11zeye. Pours with a black body and a tan head. Aroma is smokey, alcohol, chocolate, roast and earth. Taste is alcohol, smoke and spice. Peppery notes. A bit of burn. Dry finish. Not my thing.

750ml brown bottle. $12.99/Specs. Live Oak, TX. A very thick dark black beer with a huge cocoa color head. Looks nice and it looks like dessert. The aroma is sweet, a lot of chocolate, and just enough of pepper heat to be smokey. The taste is sweet, chocolate, smokey, and some bitterness. I cannot say I "taste" chipotle but I think it helps gives this beer its smokey quality. I know the lines get mixed between stout and porter but this is the most Imp. Stout like porter I’ve had as far as mouthfeel and thickness goes.

Bottle as Chipotle Porter. Nearly black, brown head. Aroma of smoke. Peppers really overwhelm the beer, to the point that you need antacids. The BA version is much better.

750mL in the American Chipotle Porter guise. Thanks to argo0. The pour is deep brown to near black with a healthy, deep brown head with big webby lace. Aroma of rubber, tar, charred oak, brine, dry-cured black olives. Taste is slightly spicy up front moving to raisins and dark stone fruits to be finished with a bombardment of capsaicin true chili spice. Long, chili burn finish. Serious chipotle porter.

Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is sweet plum, sugar, some honey, roast and quite spicy. Flavour is roasted malts, some alcohol, spices and quite burning in the finish.

A-opaque cola brown with thin cocoa brown head. Minimal lacing. A-coffee and toasted malts overwhelm the nose. Some pepper, salt, smoke and chalk carry to the end. M-mild carbs with slightly watery feel for a porter. T-espresso, smoke, chalk and grains start the taste. Lingering, potent pepper takes over and has a motivated spicy finish. Pepper pretty much takes over the taste after initial contact, with earthy, vegetable notes clawing from underneath. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wow, as a realy dark beer this comes on nose surprisingly not roasted malt or burnt dominant, instead aroma seems like smooth balance between spices, noble hopping, creamy, a bit coffe, burnt sugar light sweet, a bit smoked and olny then roasted malt. Pours black with huge brown tan cap, good rounded lacing with good stamina. Elegant! Taste is galacticly far away sweet, burnt or roasted bitter, also medium hopping bitter I sense, and od course spicy, peppery profile. Palate - above mediyum body, oily texture, overruned spicy, a bit astringent on tongue, soft carbonation, long , bitter mild dry finish. O.A. - well it is not beer for everyday, no doubt. Brewed nicely seems to me although it is one time sample, cause peppery id so dominant, it is difficult to enjoy this beer.
