Pale golden pour, quite cloudy with a thick white head. The aroma is spicy and fruity. A touch of white pepper and some clean bright bitterness. A little bit of spice and some bright zesty hoppiness. Lemon and herbal hoppiness. Fresh and bright. Highly quaffable.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 shaynsawchuk (180) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 8, 2013
330 mL bottle. Sold as ’The Canadian Dream’ in Canada. Pours amber with a huge off white head and patchy lacing. Deceptively rich, ale-like nose, packed with hop bite. All kinds of hop notes on the nose; earthy herbs, bitter citrus and a hint of fruit. A touch of sweetness and nutty caramel notes. Clean and refreshing with medium body and carbonation and a lingering hop tinged aftertaste. Extra points for the complexity of flavor obtained in this lager: superbly a-typical.

330ml bottle from LCBO - pours a hazed orange-gold with a massive meringue white cap. Aromas of citrus, peach and bready malts. Medium carbonation silky mouth feel, rounded mellow character. Flavour has sturdy bready malts in good balance with Pac.NW hops - bread, citrus, light sweetness, hint of stone fruit. Clean lightly bitter finish. Wow! What a quaffing beer! Like Anchor Liberty with more malt spine and better smoothness - hoppy, malty, very drinkable - Mikkeller nailed the Canadian dream.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 hangunder (107) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2013
Smells amazing, citrus, pine, sweet malt and a bit of onion. Slightly hazy, long lasting foamy head. Hop bitterness throughout, with juicyness in the middle and an intensifying bitterness as it finishes. Quite light bodied, average carbonation. The hops are front and center here and they definitely make this a delicious one.

Another one in a milk bottle. This was the first proper craft beer I ever purchased, pre RB days. I was gob smacked by the cost. Oh how things change. Like hops. Hops have changed. Or have I changed? Or have you? Tribute.

Bottle 330 ml as Canadian Dream
Aroma: very nice soft medium intense citrusy aroma. Mango with grape and lemon. Soft malty backing. 8-
Look: poured as hazed amber gold with large snowy cap. Good lace.
Taste/Body: medium bodied with thinner walls. Very soft texture , mild carbonation. More west hop sided. Plenty of citrus. Very refreshing.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Freaky_tiki (84) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 6, 2013
Got the Canadian Dream version. Pours bruised tangerine with fluffy white cap that vanishes quicker than a plate of nachos at your local. Full bodied with a bold taste. If this beer was a jazz cat it’d play tenor saxophone: each sip is round with a reverb aftertaste. Nice juicy hops. Yum.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JesseM (1124) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 6, 2013
Bottle from the Lickbow. It’s always nice to find beers that I didn’t know even existed. Hazy orange with a huge, rocky beige head. The aroma is a blast of American hops and not much else, a small malt character for minor balance. The flavour is fantastic, hop bitterness upfront followed by sweet malty aspects and ascending notes of hop flavour. Perfectly blended, it’s like an India Pale Lager. Not overly complex, just a masterfully crafted beer. I like when Mikkeller produces things that don’t cost 15 times more than they should and ultimately taste like amateur homebrew.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 DerWeg (1402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 6, 2013
(As The Cnadian Dream, 5.5%) 330 mL bottle from LCBO. Attractive soapy gold with creamy white head. Very hoppy and delicious even right from the bottle - citrus peel fruit and grassy hop bitterness that rolls late over finish. Crisp feel in the middle and crackery malt. It’s both a fun and a serious beer, heady with hops and makes me burp so it’s best I pour it in the glass.
