English: Danish Dream (AKA American Dream) is a lager which is packed with American hops. This beer is meant to be drunk directly out of the bottle, on a hot summer day.

Bottle from Magasin, Kgs Nytorv. Pours deep golden with no significant head. Very complex fruity taste, citrus, pine. Very long bitter after-taste. High hoppy for a lager, but not as bitter as one would think.

Quite outstanding for this style, rich hoppy bouquet of citrus, peach and pine, smooth bitter finish. Lighter than your usual Mikkeller but great hoppiness for a lager.

Very hoppy. Fresh sour-sweet aroma and taste. Very drinkable and well ballanced. Nice long bitterness. Is that lager?? Tastes like a good APA.

Purchased at a Systembolaget in Stockholm, enjoyed in my hotel room. Appearance is a moderately dark gold with a average fizzy white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of light floral hops and roasted/bready malt. Taste is moderately carbonated, lightly bitter, for a lager itís pretty good.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2014 If I did not know better I would think this was a very good session IPA or a very hoppy pale ale. Itís not - itís a premium lager, but that doesnít change the fact that this is a bloody good beer. Sticky white head, murky golden/yellow color. Very hoppy aroma with lotís of flowers, grape, citrus. The taste is equally hoppy and citric and with a long aftertaste and a nearly prickly pine-like bitterness in the end. If a lager can taste like this then fuck the rest... Pardon my French

Nice aroma, good fruity notes, mango, pineapple and passion fruit. After taste is bitter and long. Lacks malt depth and Bitterness isnít the nicest one - too sharp for my taste

I was hesitant about a bottom-fermented beer would manage to carry such bitterness and Mikkeller almost succeeded. Good smell and good taste, but a stale and a little burnt character pulls unfortunately down the impression.

A lager that really wants and tries to be an American pale ale. Apparently it goes by the name The Danish Dream in the US, due to market legal reasons. The aroma is dominated by a blast of hops. The taste as well, plus some extra heavy (almost stale) bitterness. This "crypto-APA" was among the strangest thing I have ever drunk. Do not understand the idea of a bottom-fermented APA, but itís also something that I like about this kind of cocky beer.
