Maybe the best lager I’ve ever had! Good strong taste of hops combined with the fresh easiness of lager.

Pours golden/amber (light honey colour?) with a small white head which quickly dissipates. Aroma is very floral hops. Flavour is hops, citrus and bitterness (perhaps a tad too bitter). Light carbonation. An excellent lager.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2014

April 2013 - Cold bottle. Light orange colour, over an inch of head with decent retention. Smell of cat urine. Taste is fruity up front with a lager bitterness. Under-ripe mango? A bit dry and a deep but light bitterness. Refreshing. (3.7)

May 2014 - Keg at Brewdog Shepherd’s Bush. Hazy orange, small white head. Aroma - light orange. Body is medium to light, spritzy, slightly foamy. Taste - clementine, satsuma hops, light bitterness. Very drinkable. (3.6)

I have come to expect a lot from Mikkeller and this beer delivers. Nice fresh aroma, beautiful golden aroma, refreshing crisp taste.

March 2012. Labeled as Dream Pils. Poured yellow orange with a white head. Grassy notes blens with the strong hop character. Excellent beer.

Bottle. Pours a hale golden orange with a large, gorgeous, off-white head that leaves lacing. Aroma is a lot of grapefruit. Quite citric, lightly sweet. Lemony fresh with a dab of lime there as well. Taste is huge grapefruit, somewhat citric though mostly grapefruit. Not a lot of malt flavors here, hops rule. Light biscuit and caramel on finish. Strong grapefruit on the very dry aftertaste. Palate is light and quite carbonated though a bit stuffy. Burger & Bun was better.

0,33L bottle. Pleasant sour, fruity, hop aroma. Enjoyable strong taste which is good and matches with bubbles. Taste is various and allmoust perfect. Finish is bitter and i enjoy it. Great job!

Absolutely fabulous. American yeast and hops do their trick to produce a deep and balanced delight

Golden copper color. The aroma is grassy with hints of pineapple and citrus. Much grass and citrus in flavor. Dry finnish with a comfortable bitterness that hangs long. Very good lager, but the bottle I drank could have been fresher.

Bottle from Hope Valley Bottle Shop, Durham. The "Dream Pils" moniker flirts with danger in the reviews it invites, "Shit Sandwich"-style. Two words: it’s not. But it’s a decent enough lager. Hazy, soupy light orange, only a moderate head. Dingy, soapy notes in the nose, along with indistinct fruits and precious few noble hop or dry elements. Grapefruit gone bland in the taste. I’d like to try it from a super fresh keg sometime, since the bottle I had was just okay.
