The best lager I’ve had? Quite possibly. Lovely American hops packed into this bottle, rendering the lager really inviting with aromas of citrus and pith. Tons and tons and tons of bitterness and fresh hops. Absolutely ace and refreshing.

500ml can. Cloudy pale amber with a white head that collapses. Some hay but mostly hop aromas: floral, pine, peach, tropical, citrus. All pleasant enough but not telling a cohesive tale. And there’s not much more to the taste. Lots of fruit, resin gets a bit harsh and maybe plasticy at the fairly bitter finish. A bit watery. I guess the aroma hops are nice. More for people who don’t like golden lagers rather than people who do but are often disappointed by them. After the P1 Radio pils, this was a let down.

330ml brown bottle poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is cloudy orange with a large beige frothy head, that reduced quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, mango, orange peels and lemon zest. Flavours of grapefruit, caramel, orange peels, lemon zest and mango. Palate is light bodied, soft texture and average carbonation. Overall a decent beer, a little too light bodied perhaps.

4.6%ABV: Lager. Tapped out a beatiful honey gold, light amber, 13ºSRM. Nose is full of citrusy brightness, lemons, grapefruit, tangerines, oranges. Full malty nose, you never get the sense that they skimp on malt. Duh... Mouthfeel is soapy, syrupy malt, lightly carbonated. Clean bitter hoppy finish. Not prolonged. Just so like a good lager should, maybe just a bit closer to a pils in terms of hop character being a bit more front and center.

Pours an amber colour. Taste is hoppy and refreshing. Very moorish. One of the better craft style beers

Bottle. Orange color, foggy, good foam. Fruity aroma, mango and passion fruit, grapes, citrus, cool. Taste: multifruit juice, good and pleasant bitterness.

Can from Trappist Provisions. It pours a lightly hazed rich orange color with a large frothy off white head. The aroma is potent with aromatic, fruity hops. Mostly orange, grapefruit and melon with some hints of resin and menthol. Also some toast and caramel in the background. Nothing about this seems Pilsner-like to me yet. The flavor is the same with more resin and intense bitterness. There seems a be a lot of rye malt in this due to the slickness of the mouthfeel and strong dry maltiness. Also a little bit husky which is a tad unpleasant on the palate. Fruity orange notes are relegated to the background. More menthol and resin in a strong bitter finish. Overall, I wasn’t a big fan of this one. I was expecting more of a sessionable lager, instead this is more like an old school Rye IPA.

33cl bottle from Uba & Humal, Tallinn. Hazy golden colour with an off-white head. Fresh peachy hops. Light-bodied, bit watery. Some malts but its entirely a showcase for the great aroma hops. Very dry finish. Not your typical market brew.

Pours a murky light brown color with a fluffy white head. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Aroma of pine, grass, light malty grain, some cat piss and lemon zest. Taste is of pines, earthy, light grass, lemon zest and slight bitterness. Dry finish. Crushable, however somewhat expensive for that. Overall, good beer.
