750ml bottle pours dark cloudy brown orange with big 3 finger head. Nose is doughy cracker, raisin, fig. Taste is sticky bready raisin, maple, earthy malt, dough, booze. Finish is oily fig newton, malty bread, dark grains. Weird.

Vintage bottle from the Brick Store Cellar shared with Westmeister and deadCATatlanta. Pours a hazy pear with big white head. Hopped up like a big IIPA. Very odd that hoppiness remained. Bottle - Brick Store Pub - Decatur, GA

Spuytin Duyvil, Brooklyn tap: Pours reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty brutal hoppiness, sugar, caramel, malts, and more malts, buckwheat. Taste is quite bitter, with a thick aggressive sweetness. This one is a sipper amongst sippers for sure. It probably took me about 45 minutes to get through the wine glass pour. Well-crafted, but it is not what I would seek out.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2014 Arom: fruktig, aprikos ton till fruktig humle, och bröd. Söt, fruktig. Smak: söt mörk kola, fruktig och bitter och lång eftersmak. En intensiv och fyllig öl.

large frothy offwhite head. excellent lacing. mostly diminishing. flat thick darl orangeish-amber body. aroma: moderate malty, caramel, mild coffee, moderate hoppy, alcohol. if: heavy sweet moderate bitter. ff: heavy bitter; long duration. palate: medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, heavy alcoholic finish. Presença amarga lupulada surge como estranha no ninho, mas é sobrepujada pelo dulçor, mantendo, assim, um pouco da característica do estilo. Não esconde nada do teor alcoólico. Dulçor maltado, lembrando também chá. Background condimentado. Decepcionante por não lembrar BW em quase nada. Final alcoólico amadeirado lembra whisky no começo e algo mais amargo depois. 50 s

Nice dark amber colour with spotty lacing. Sweet aroma with ripe fruit, flowers, pine, honey and stingy but not unpleasant alcohol. Piney hoppiness in the flavour with caramel and buckwheat, quite a dry mouthfeel and the alcohol is more hidden in the flavour. Quite a bit more bitter than I expected from the nose as well but not too bitter.

Tap at the Bishops Arms (Savoy), Malmo. Poured a cloudy dark amber with a thin white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is typical Barley Wine with boozy alcohol and rich fruit. The flavour is strong bitter with a big alcoholic resin bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. A beast of a beer for sure, but needs a little more to make it truly stand out from the crowd.

Bottle, 40th Birthday gift from Nick - cheers mate! Amber pour with a bubbly white head. Juicy citrus and piney hop central snout wise, with notes of brown sugar and dark fruit. Promised good things. Flavour was sweet malts, fruits, buckwheat and tidy hoppage that delivered some pleasing bitterness. Dried out towards the finish. Right up my driveway this. Top notch collaboration.
